Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the stacking performance of cutform paper finished with printing by providing a paper discharge tray with an inhibiting means capable of reciprocating along the cutform paper discharging direction. CONSTITUTION:A paper discharge tray 1 is provided with an inhibiting means 2 with a vertical face orthogonal to the discharging direction of cutform paper 51. This inhibiting means 2 is formed of a paper stopper member 2A and a fixed part 2B as well as capable of reciprocating along the paper discharging direction. Hereupon, the prepared cutform paper 51 is fed by a paper feeding means 52 into a printing position 20. A printing head 20A performs printing to the paper supplied on a platen 20B. Upon the completion of printing, the platen is rotated to convey the paper to a paper discharging means 21 for the discharge of the paper. The discharged paper is stocked in the paper discharge tray. The paper discharge tray is previously set according to the size of the paper by moving the inhibiting means 2 in the paper discharging direction. The paper completed with printing is thus stacked successively into this tray.
