In addition, as a second method, Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 57-8890,
After the banknotes deposited in bulk by the user are separated one by one, they pass through a verification section to determine authenticity and denomination.Bills that are determined to be genuine are temporarily stored in a storage section according to denomination. Banknotes determined to be counterfeit are collectively stored in a temporary storage unit, and any banknotes identified as counterfeit are returned to the user, after which the user receives an instruction to complete the transaction through his/her own operations. A method is disclosed in which banknotes temporarily stored by denomination are stored in respective storage boxes, and whether or not the banknotes can be reused as dispensing banknotes is determined during a dispensing operation.

(Function) According to the present invention, since the above-described circulating automatic deposit/withdrawal transaction method is adopted, the banknotes deposited in bulk are separated one by one by the one-by-one separation mechanism, and sent to a discrimination device to determine authenticity. If there are fake banknotes, they are stored in a temporary storage section for fake banknotes, and genuine banknotes are counted by denomination and then stored in a temporary storage section for real banknotes. The banknotes are returned to the user. When the user confirms the amount and issues an instruction to execute the transaction, the real banknotes are sent from the temporary storage section to the single-sheet separating mechanism again, separated into individual banknotes, and sent to the above-mentioned discrimination device. It is determined whether or not the banknotes can be reused and their denominations, and the banknotes that are reusable are stored in storage boxes according to their denominations. Therefore, since it is determined whether the banknote can be reused at the time of deposit, the withdrawal processing time is shortened, and
Since only two temporary banknote storage sections, one for genuine banknotes and one for counterfeit banknotes, need to be provided, the structure can be simplified and downsized, and the above-mentioned problems can therefore be eliminated.

(Effects of the Invention) As explained in detail above, according to the present invention,
In the first verification, only the authenticity of the banknotes deposited in bulk is determined, so the time from deposit to issuing the instruction to execute the transaction is faster, and it is easier for the user to receive the instruction to execute the transaction. The decision to withdraw money can be made quickly, the mechanism can be simplified because there is no need to provide a temporary storage section for each denomination, and banknotes that can be reused in the second verification can be used for withdrawals. On the bank side, it is possible to save the trouble of stopping the automated teller machine to replenish banknotes, and to increase the operating rate of the automated teller machine. In addition, since there is no process of determining whether banknotes can be reused in the withdrawal process and unnecessary reject bills are not dispensed, the withdrawal process is quick and the waiting time for the user can be shortened. Further, if the sensor for detecting two or more bills in the banknote validating section and the transport mechanism are normal, the withdrawal transaction can be continued.
