When decoloring, PB remains unerased, resulting in a phenomenon in which the transmittance does not reach 70%.

The amount of electricity reacted between the C layer and the second EC layer is periodically measured, and corrections are made by replenishing the amount of electricity that is insufficient than the initially set amount from the auxiliary electrode.

Since this method measures the amount of reaction electricity at regular intervals and repairs the shortfall, it is not possible to respond to deviations from the set transmittance that occur within that fixed period. If the value is set high, the user's preferred transparency cannot be achieved during correction, which poses a problem in that the user's usage time is limited.

関するものである。That is, the present invention includes an electrochromic layer on the surface of at least one of a pair of translucent electrodes, a substance that is translucent in an oxidized or reduced state on the surface of the other electrode, and a redox substance. In an electrochromic device, the transparency of the device is controlled by a sensor that optically detects the transparency of the electrochromic device, in which an auxiliary electrode is provided, and an electrolyte is sealed between the pair of electrodes, and the transparency is controlled by a sensor that optically detects the transparency. The deviation from the range is determined based on the transparency of the element when the switch is operated to make the transparency of this element the highest, and if a deviation is detected, it automatically shifts to a mode in which it is corrected using an auxiliary electrode, The present invention relates to an electrochromic element characterized in that it is provided with a circuit that returns to the normal control mode when the sensor determines that the correction is complete or when a switch for setting another transparency is operated.

Reference numeral 8 indicates a light transmittance sensor light emitting section, 9 indicates a light receiving section, 10 indicates a control device, 11 indicates a lead wire, and 12 indicates a switch. This is equipped with a device that controls the transparency of the EC dimming glass using a light transmittance sensor, and the transmittance read from the sensor by the light emitting part 8 and light receiving part 9 of the light transmittance sensor is stored in the control circuit. The control device IO compares the set value with the set value to control whether to apply a coloring voltage, apply a color erasing voltage, or open the circuit. For example, in this Example 1, the coloring level of the EC light control glass (COLO
R' LEVEL) is set in five levels as shown in Table 1 below, and by selecting the coloring level on the operation panel, the transmittance is automatically controlled to that level. For example, if you select the coloring level ■, the decoloring voltage is applied when the transmittance of the EC glass detected by the light transmittance sensor is less than 29%, and the coloring voltage is applied when it is greater than 31%. It is controlled to be in an open state when the voltage is applied and the voltage is 29 to 31%. However, when the phenomenon of Prussian blue remaining as described above occurs, the transmittance does not reach 67% or more even if the control circuit continues to apply the decoloring voltage when the coloring level is selected. There will be cases where this occurs. Therefore, in this embodiment, the EC detected by the light transmittance sensor when the coloring level is selected is
If the transmittance of the glass does not reach 67% or more even after a certain period of time T, a circuit is installed that automatically cuts off the decoloring voltage and performs the reduction operation (decolorization) of Prussian blue using the auxiliary electrode as the counter electrode. This Prussian blue reduction operation is immediately terminated when the transmittance of the EC glass is 67% or more, that is, within the coloring level ■ set range, or the coloring level switch is moved to a level other than ■. The circuit is designed to return to control mode. A flowchart of the above-described residual repair operation is shown in FIG. 2.

It must be determined within the time that can be achieved, and in this example, in the case of EC glass with an area of 100 cm2, it was set to 3 minutes.

Polymers may dissolve in the liquid. If such dissolution occurs, problems such as (1) decrease in the amount of reaction electricity, (2) self-discharge, (2) deterioration due to side reactions, and (2) coloring of the electrolyte will occur. Therefore, the polymer used in the polymer electrode needs to be insoluble in the electrolyte.

After polymerization, the mixture was thoroughly washed in chloroform, and after confirming that the chloroform was no longer colored, it was dried, weighed in 0.1 g portions into test tubes, added with 10% sulfuric acid, sealed, and left to stand. (In other words, the solubility in the normal non-ionized state remains the same.) When observed for 30 minutes, all polymers turned black (floating due to their specific gravity) above the sulfuric acid, and for a, there was no sulfuric acid at all. In contrast, in b, the sulfuric acid turned blue.

As in Example 2, we found that good products that did not dissolve in sulfuric acid could be electrolytically oxidized. Although no elution was observed, elution was observed in the electrolytic oxidation test for defective products that were colored by dissolving in sulfuric acid.

。(Effects of the Invention) As described above, according to the present invention, the electrochromic transparency variable element is controlled by a light transmittance sensor, and furthermore, when the user selects the switch with the highest transparency, the EC The deviation from the set transmittance is determined based on the light transmittance of the glass, and if a deviation occurs, the system immediately and automatically shifts to a mode in which correction is made using an auxiliary electrode. The circuit is designed to immediately return to the normal control mode when it is determined that the repair is complete or when the user selects a switch for a different transparency, so if even a small amount remains, it will be automatically corrected immediately. Since there is no significant deviation from the set transmittance, and the user is not made aware of the occurrence of unerased parts and the repair operations, the product quality can be significantly improved.

ことを特徴とするエレクトロクロミック素子。1. An electrochromic layer is provided on the surface of at least one of a pair of translucent electrodes, a substance that exhibits translucency in an oxidized or reduced state is provided on the surface of the other electrode, and the electrode further contains a redox substance. In an electrochromic device in which an auxiliary electrode made of a material is provided, an electrolyte is sealed between the pair of electrodes, and the transparency is controlled by a sensor that optically detects the transparency, there is a range in which the transparency of the device is controlled. The misalignment is determined by the transparency of the element when the switch is operated to make the transparency of this element the highest, and when a misalignment is detected, the mode automatically shifts to corrective mode using the auxiliary electrode, and the above sensor 1. An electrochromic device, characterized in that it is provided with a circuit that returns to a normal control mode when it is determined that the correction is completed or when a switch for setting another transparency is operated.
