(Prior Art) Conventionally, when sewing a fastener tape onto a fabric, the tape and the fabric are sewn along the periphery of a fastener element, and at this time, the fastener and fabric are fed linearly or rotationally. Since it is complicated to feed the fasteners and the fabric in a straight line or in a rotational manner, the present applicant previously proposed in Japanese Patent Application No. 62-246666 and Utility Application No. 62-100178 that the fasteners and the fabric are fed perpendicularly to each other. We proposed a fastener sewing machine that automatically moves in the direction of sewing. An overview of such a sewing machine is shown in FIG.
This sewing machine has a needle 1, a sewing machine head 3 fixed to a sewing machine main body 2, a throat plate 4 fixed to the sewing machine main body, and a sewing machine main body 2 arranged above the needle plate.
It is provided with a feed stand 5 movably attached to the feed stand and a cassette 6 detachably attached to the feed stand. Note that this sewing machine is used to sew fasteners on skirts. The fastener conventionally consists of a tape 7a and an elongated fastener element 7b attached to this tape. The fabric 8 on which the fastener is sewn consists of a lining 9a and an outer fabric 9b, each sewn to a tape 7a. It consists of a fastener element 7b. The outer material and lining are lined with needles 1 along the circumference of the fastener element.
Sewn by. The carriage 5 is driven by drive means 10 in a first direction Y, which is the longitudinal direction of the fastener element, and in a second direction X, which is perpendicular to this first direction. The cassette 6 can hold the outer and lining portions on both sides of the fastener element. This cassette is mounted on a feed stand while holding the outer fabric and lining fabric. The feed table and the cassette are respectively formed with cutout grooves 11a and 11b into which the fastener element 7b is loosely inserted. A needle hole boss 12 is provided on the surface of the throat plate 4 to receive the lateral lining and outer fabric portions of the fastener element.

In this sewing machine, as shown in Fig. 7A, first,
Move the feed table 5 in the first direction Y to sew one side of the fastener element 7b along the first sewing line 13, and then move the feed table 5 as shown in FIG. 7B.
is moved in the second direction sew along the third sewing line 15. For details of this sewing machine, please refer to the above-mentioned patent application or utility model registration application.

(Problem to be Solved by the Invention) However, in the prior art as described above, the feed table is connected from the first sewing line 13 to the second sewing line 1.
When moving to 4 and while moving to this sewing line,
There was a drawback that the fastener element 7b collided with the needle hole boss 12 at the location indicated by reference numeral 16 in FIG. 8, causing the fastener to shift and forcibly pulling the outer material and the lining material, causing the needle to sag. In particular, since the ends of the fastener elements protrude downward, ie, toward the needle hole bosses, there is a strong tendency for the fastener elements and the needle hole bosses to collide.

It should be noted that the present invention is provided with a fastener guide member 20, as shown in FIGS. 1 and 2. This fastener guide member is fitted into a notched groove 11a provided in the feed base 5 so as to be slidable along the first direction Y. A fitting groove 21 is formed in the center of this fastener guide member, into which the fastener element 7b is slidably fitted along the first direction Y. Further, this fastener guide member is provided with support surfaces 22 on both sides of the fitting groove 21 for receiving the fastener tape 7a and/or the lining 9a and outer material 9b. These support surfaces support sewing parts such as linings.

A needle hole boss 30 is attached to the surface of the throat plate 4,
This needle hole boss is inserted into a slot 23 provided in the fastener guide member 20. More specifically, the needle hole boss consists of a shaft 31 fixed to the surface of the throat plate and insertable into a slot, and an enlarged head 32 formed at the upper end of the shaft.
This enlarged head has an oval shape overall. The distance b 1 between the flat parts 32a on both sides of the head is set to be slightly smaller than the width S of the slot 23 of the fastener guide member 20, but the distance b 2 between the arcuate surfaces 32b is set slightly smaller than the width S of the slot 23. It is set large. Accordingly, the fastener guide member is assembled as shown in FIG. 2 by aligning its slot with the flat portion 32a of the enlarged head, inserting the enlarged head into the slot, and then rotating the guide member approximately 90 degrees. It is attached to the needle hole boss 30 as shown in FIG. The slot 23 is formed extending in the second direction
The guide member is movable in a second direction X over the length of the slot relative to the needle hole boss. Note that the reference numeral 33 indicates a needle hole provided in the needle hole boss and into which the needle 1 is inserted.

First, similarly to the prior art shown in FIG. 6, the lining 9a with the fastener sewn thereon and the outer material 9b sewn onto the lining are overlapped and held by the cassette 6, and this cassette is mounted on the feed table 5. Next, the feed table is moved in the first direction Y, and the lining material and outer material on one side of the fastener element are sewn along the first sewing line 13 (see FIG. 7A). in this case,
The feed bar slides against the fastener guide member. After sewing the first sewing line, the feed table 5 is moved in the second direction (See Figure 7B). in this case,
The state immediately before the transition from the first sewing line to the second sewing line is shown in FIG. 3, the state in the middle of the second sewing line is shown in FIG. 4, and the state immediately before the transition from the first sewing line to the second sewing line is shown. The situation is shown in FIG. During the movement of the feed base from FIG. 3 to FIG. 5, the fastener guide member moves along the second direction X with respect to the needle hole boss 12 together with the feed base. Therefore, the fastener, lining material and outer material are firmly supported by the fastener guide member, and there is no problem such as the fastener hitting the needle hole boss as in the prior art. After sewing the second sewing line, turn the feed base in the first direction Y.
, and sew the lining and outer fabric on the other side of the fastener element along the third sewing line 15. Again, the carriage slides relative to the fastener guide member.

(Effect of the invention) According to the invention, when sewing around the fastener,
Fasteners and fabric can be fed safely and reliably, and therefore problems such as needle breakage due to collision between fasteners and needle hole bosses that occur in the prior art do not occur at all. Therefore, there is a practical benefit in that a high-performance fastener sewing machine can be provided.

In the above embodiment, the fastener is sewn onto two pieces of fabric, the lining and the outer fabric, but it can also be sewn onto a single piece of fabric. Further, the sewing order is not limited to the first sewing line to the third sewing line, and it is also possible to start from the third sewing line.
