Conventional technology When providing multiple branch lines to one main line in wiring harnesses, etc., conventionally, for ease of connection work, the insulation coating of both wires to be connected was removed, and then crimp terminal fittings, etc. were attached. Conductive wires were used to connect conductive wires by crimping.

However, there are restrictions on the size and shape of crimp terminal fittings, and for example, as shown in Fig. 7, the ends of multiple branch electric wires b 1 , b 2 . Alternatively, as shown in Figure 8, remove the insulation coating from the necessary parts of the main wire a and connect the branch wires to each branch wire.
The ends of b 1 , b 2 ... are crimped and connected using crimp terminal fittings c 1 , c 2 ..., and only 2 to 3 branch wires can be attached at each location, so it is difficult to connect multiple branches. The disadvantage of installing electric wires was that it required more man-hours and was not easy to work with. Furthermore, although the connection using such crimp terminal fittings is simple, there are problems such as variations in crimp force, wires falling out, and contact resistance increasing due to oxidation during use.

Means for Solving the Problems In order to solve the above-mentioned problems, the electric wire branch connection method of the present invention removes the insulation coating at the terminals of a plurality of electric wires to expose the conductors, and connects these exposed conductors together. These exposed conductors are bundled together and subjected to pressure molding or heat fusion processing to form a single terminal in which these exposed conductors are integrated, and branch connections are made between multiple electric wires via this terminal. In addition, in order to pressure-form the wire end into a terminal shape,
A method can be used in which the exposed conductors of the electric wires are arranged and housed in a molding frame and are welded together under pressure using, for example, an ultrasonic welder. For such pressure forming, various pressure welding means, forging means, etc. may be used, and in addition to the electric wires, metal powder or metal plates that promote fusion may be combined to fill the gaps between the electric wires or Molding may be performed so as to cover the surface, thereby increasing the capacity of the terminal portion.

Embodiment FIG. 1 shows an example of a branch connection structure for electric wires according to the present invention, in which one ends of electric wires A 1 , A 2 , A 3 . . . are brought together to form a ring-shaped terminal C. This terminal C has a shape in which a screw hole is provided in a flat disk-shaped electrical contact plate.

To form such a terminal C, as shown in Figure 2, wires A 1 , A 2 , A 3 . Arrange B. Next, the exposed conductor B is inserted into the terminal pressure molding anvil, and welding is completed while pressurizing it from above and below using an ultrasonic pressure welding machine or the like to mold it into one piece.

The terminal C formed in this way is integrated by pressure welding and the conductors do not separate, but the boundary between the terminal C and the wires A 1 , A 2 ... is strong during pressure welding. Since it is under stress, it may be susceptible to bending. Therefore, in order to protect the connection structure from external forces, it is recommended to cover the wires with synthetic resin covers D 1 and D 2 as shown in Figures 3 and 5, and bundle the wires together. . In this way, even if an external force is applied to the wire, the external force will not act in the direction of tearing, so there is no risk of an accident occurring.

Such a branch connection structure (Fig. 4) with exposed terminal C is useful for constructing wire bundles, such as ground wiring that is screwed directly to the body of a car, or when branching multiple wires from one power terminal. In addition, the connection structure in which the terminal C is completely covered (Fig. 5) is suitable when, for example, many branch wires are taken out from one main wire, It can be used for signal circuits and power supply circuits.

Effects of the Invention According to the present invention, whereas the conventional crimp-type connection using terminal fittings had a limit of 2 to 3 branches, it is possible to perform connections with a much larger number of branches, about 10. Moreover, since the conductors of each wire are fused and integrated, contact resistance is extremely reduced and connection strength is high, achieving a highly reliable connection that does not deteriorate over time. In addition, the number of branch points is small, and many wires can be branched and connected at once, which not only increases the productivity of manufacturing wire bundles, but also
Since the branch connection portion is formed as a terminal, there is no need to use other terminal fittings, and there is an advantage that the workability of wiring installation is improved.
