However, in recent years, there has been a need to monitor even more detailed items, and this demand has been met by performing multiplex transmission via drop-through lines.

However, with this method, in trains where only the driver and conductor are on board, if an emergency occurs on the train on the driver's side, the driver must find it and contact the conductor, making it difficult to respond to the situation. The problem was that it was late.

Monitor devices 11.12 are attached to the driver's seat side and conductor's seat side of the left-hand formation, respectively, and monitor devices 21.12 are attached to the driver's seat side and the conductor's seat of the right-hand formation, respectively.
2□ is attached. The monitor devices 1□ and 12 are connected by a through line that runs through the left side of the formation, and signals for monitoring generated from each vehicle are converted by a converter (not shown), and the signals of the through line are connected. It is designed to be multiplexed in transmission.

法について説明する。It would be desirable to be able to perform at least the minimum level of monitoring in each train even if trains configured in this way are connected, each equipped with a different monitoring device, but as mentioned above, the signal transmission methods will differ. Therefore, mutual signal transmission is not possible. Therefore, a method will be described in which a lead-through line is passed between the left-hand organization and the right-hand organization, and the number of items in the right-hand organization is monitored at least in both organizations.

In the figure, 10 is a pull-through line that runs through both formations, and 20 is a monitor activation means attached to the left formation (the formation with a large number of monitor items), which sends out a make contact in conjunction with a sensor, for example. It's a relay. A necessary number of monitor activation means are provided in the left organization so that the same number of items can be monitored as in the right organization. 30 is an interface section, 40
is a signal converter, and the signal converter 40 converts a signal for monitoring sent by voltage transmission from the right-hand formation into a signal suitable for the monitoring device of the left-hand formation.

First, when the signal necessary to start the monitor is generated from the right-hand formation, the monitor device 2□ of that formation can monitor that item as before, and even if the monitor is activated due to an abnormality in one of the devices, In other words, the necessary processing is performed immediately.

This signal is displayed on the monitor device 11 via the lead-through line of the left formation, and necessary monitoring is performed. At this time, the monitor device 11 monitors the signal so as not to confuse it with the signal of its own formation. For example, if each formation is a 4-car formation, the monitor device 11

If the signal is supplied to the signal converter 40 and the signal converter 40 stops operating when the signal is supplied, the signal generated by the monitor starting means 20 will be supplied to the monitor device 11. No malfunctions will occur. Furthermore, it is a matter of course that the operation of the monitor activation means 20 is monitored by a device provided in the original formation.
