Conventionally, in a phototypesetting machine, a roller is used as a device for feeding the photosensitive material page by page or line by line. This is done by passing the photosensitive material between a pair of rollers and driving the rollers by applying a load.
The photosensitive material is conveyed by the frictional force between the roller and the photosensitive material. However, when feeding a roll of wide photosensitive material, using only a pair of rollers causes uneven frictional force acting on the photosensitive material, which causes meandering when the photosensitive material is conveyed, resulting in uneven printed lines. The drawback was that accurate printing could not be performed.

FIG. 2 is an enlarged plan view of the mounting portion of the angle correction roller 1 shown in FIG. 1, and is for explaining an example of the mounting method. In this embodiment, the angle correction roller 1 is suitable for moving the photosensitive material toward the position defining member 16.
The moving direction of the photosensitive material is given directionality, and the position of the photosensitive material is defined by moving the photosensitive material along the position defining member 16. Therefore, the angle correction roller 1
The mounting angles of a to 1d are made to be inclined with respect to the photosensitive material feeding direction 7.

By doing this, the photosensitive material 6 can be moved toward the exposed magazine with a directionality 17 different from the feeding direction 7. However, if the photosensitive material 6 is simply to be fed closer to the position defining member 16, the mounting angles of the angle correction rollers 1 may all be tilted in the same direction. However, one of the problems to be solved by this invention is wide photosensitive material (for example, newspaper 1
The purpose is to be able to handle the page width).
The force in the 17 directions is insufficient, and it is necessary to apply tension to the photosensitive material 6 in the direction of the arrow 18. This force in the 18 directions is in the width direction of the photosensitive material 6, and the photosensitive material is kept in a taut state at all times.
This is to prevent loosening and wrinkles from occurring.

A specific means for applying a force in the direction of the arrow 18 for this purpose is to make the two angle correction rollers 1a and 1b have an angle facing the position defining member 16, as shown in FIG. Two rollers 1c
is oriented along the photosensitive material feeding direction 7, and the remaining roller 1d is installed at an angle so as to face the opposite side from the position defining member 16. By this 1a, 1
The two angle correction rollers b apply force to the left side in the drawing, and the one roller 1d applies force to the right side on the photosensitive material.
A directional force is applied to the photosensitive material 6.

Stress is applied to the photosensitive material in the directions of arrows 7, 17, and 18 as described above, and the inclination angle and the like of each angle correction roller 1 may be set based on data calculated in advance. However, when the width of the photosensitive material is different, or when using photosensitive materials of different materials such as film and photographic paper, the tilt angle etc. must be adjusted. In FIG. 2, the mounting angle of the angle correction roller 1 is determined by inserting the angle adjuster 4 into the angle adjustment hole 37.
An arbitrary angle can be obtained by rotating it within the range of and fixing it to the support rod 3 with the screw 36.

Next, the relationship between the support rod 3 and the connection rod 5 will be explained. Each support rod 3 is connected to one connecting rod 5 via a pin 19. The connecting rod 5 is attached to the main body of the phototypesetting machine (not shown) with screws 20,
Further, the shaft 25 of the bearing 2 that engages with the angle adjuster 4
(described later in FIG. 4) is held by a support rod 26 (not shown) fixed to the main body of the phototypesetting machine. Therefore, the connecting rod 5 can be moved appropriately within the range of the mounting hole 23, and thereby the entire supporting rod 3 can also be moved to adjust the overall orientation of the angle correction rollers 1a to 1d with respect to the photosensitive material 6. .

By attaching the angle correction roller 1, the support rod 3, and the connection rod 5 in this manner, stress as shown in FIG. 3 is applied to the photosensitive material 6. That is, the photosensitive material 6 sent in the direction of arrow 7 is sent in the direction of arrow 17 by the angle correction rollers 1a and 1b between the drive rollers 11 and 12 in FIG. At the same time, it is tensioned in the direction of arrow 18 by the angle correction roller 1d. Further, drive rollers 11 and 12 have the same outer diameter, and pulleys 21 and 23 have outer diameters Ra,
By setting the relationship of Rb to Ra>Rb, the rotational speed of the drive roller 12 can be made slightly faster than that of the drive roller 11, so that tension can be applied to the photosensitive material 6 in the direction of the arrow 23 in FIG. can. Therefore, between the driving rollers 11 and 12, the photosensitive material 6 is pressed against the position defining member 16 and is tensioned in the width direction and feed direction of the photosensitive material, which prevents meandering of the photosensitive material and prevents loosening, wrinkles, etc. This means that the photosensitive material is fed while keeping its flatness while suppressing the occurrence of turbulence.

Next, the angle correction roller 1 and the support rod 3 that supports it will be explained using FIG. 4. A shaft 25 having a notch 24 is attached to the bearing 2 to which the angle correction roller 1 is attached, and this shaft 25 is held by a support rod 26 fixed to the main body of the phototypesetting machine (not shown). The angle adjuster 4 is provided with a through hole having the same shape as the cross section of the shaft 25 provided with the notch 24,
Pass the shaft 25 through this. Next, the angle adjuster 4 is rotated by an arbitrary angle, the shaft 25 is fixed in a desired direction, and the angle correction roller 1 is set at a desired angle. On the other hand, the shaft 25 is free to slide relative to the support rod 26, and the weight of the angle correction roller 1 and the bearing 2 is applied to the photosensitive material 6. As a result, when the angle correction roller, which has created an angle with respect to the photosensitive material feeding direction, creates an angle with respect to the photosensitive material, the angle correction roller temporarily rotates idly, pushing up the shaft 25 and causing the photosensitive material to be at an angle. Reduce the applied pressure to absorb slippage.

Furthermore, as described above, in this embodiment, the rotational speeds of the two drive rollers 11 and 12 are made different, so that strain due to tension accumulates in the belt 10 between the pulleys 9 and 22, and this strain is absorbed. The drive roller 12 may temporarily spin idly.
For this reason, the idle roller 15 provided corresponding to the drive roller 12 is supported by a bearing 34 that can freely slide in the direction perpendicular to the surface of the photosensitive material, as shown in an example in FIG. The bearing 34 is fixed to a phototypesetting machine body (not shown). The pressure on the photosensitive material is the weight of the roller 15, which absorbs vibrations caused by the idle rotation of the drive roller 12.

In this embodiment, angle correction rollers 1a to
Assuming that the weight of the bearing 1d and the weight of the bearing 2 are equal, the pressure applied to the photosensitive material 6 is made equal. However, the present invention is not limited to this, and by varying the weights of the angle correction rollers 1a to 1d and the bearing 2, and changing the pressure applied to the photosensitive material by the angle correction roller 1, the position of the photosensitive material 6 is changed. It is also possible to make the effect of bringing it closer to the regulating member 16 side and applying tension in the width direction of the photosensitive material more remarkable.

Furthermore, in the above embodiment, the connecting rod 5 is fixed to the phototypesetting machine body with screws 20 as shown in FIG. 2, but in the embodiment shown in FIG. 6, the connecting rod 5 is not fixed to the phototypesetting machine body. , a guide 35 is provided, and the connecting rod 5 is configured to slide within this guide. In any case, the angle correction roller 1a in FIG.
By moving one connecting rod 5, the whole area 1d is always kept at a constant inclination with respect to the photosensitive material 6.
