However, due to cork's inherent fragility and tendency to chip, cork tiles often chip at the edges during construction and use. In addition, with conventional cork tiles, if the cork and base plate are laminated and then rabbeted, there is a risk that the cork part will be damaged by contact with a knife during work, making rabbeting quite difficult. .

A cork board 19 cut to size as shown in Figure 1,
A wooden piece 20 as shown in FIG. 2 having a size that can be joined to each side of the cork board 19 is prepared. Wooden piece 20
has almost the same thickness as the cork board 19, and is rectangular. When the wooden piece 20 is joined to each side of the cork board 19 as shown in Fig. 3, there will be no need for overlapping parts at each corner, so it is advisable to cut it in advance as shown by the dashed-dotted line in Fig. 2. . Wooden pieces 2 for each side of the cork board 19
0 is a bonding means 21 such as adhesion at the butting surface with the peripheral end surface of the cork plate 19, or pasting paper, pasting tape, resin coating, etc. from the back side as shown in FIG.
It is joined to the cork board 19 by applying.

After this, the cork floor material 22 of the present invention, which is composed of the cork board 19 and the wooden piece 20, is pasted on a base plate, for example, and the end of the base plate is tongued, and the same process as the wooden floor material is performed. The tongue part should be driven into the base or joist.

FIG. 5 shows one type of construction method for cork flooring. That is, a tongue-and-groove joint (including a so-called dowel joint) structure 15, 16 is applied to the joint of the base plate 14 made of plywood or the like, and an adhesive is applied to the surface of the base plate to create a cork floor. Flooring material 18 with material 17 placed on it and crimped so that the surface becomes cork.
a, 18b... are made, and the flooring materials 18a, 18b... thus obtained are arranged on the joists 6, and the flooring materials 1
After nailing this flooring material to the joist 6 by driving a nail into the female groove part 16 of 8b, the male groove part 15 of another flooring material 18a is fitted into the female groove part 16 of the previous flooring material 18b and joined. . After this, other flooring materials are successively joined in the same manner.

According to this invention, each peripheral part of the cork board that is most likely to chip is reinforced with wooden pieces, so that the cork part of this cork flooring material will not chip during construction or use. Furthermore, even if a cork board is laminated on the base plate prior to rabbeting, the wooden piece is interposed around the cork board, so the blade cannot be used when rabbeting the base plate. There is no fear that the cork board will be damaged even if it comes into contact with the cork board, and therefore tongue processing can be easily performed when manufacturing the flooring material.
