Conventionally, in automobile seats, wading, which is more flexible than the pad, is interposed between the outer skin and the pad in order to improve the feel of the seated occupant. If it is simply interposed between the pad and pad, it may move and become biased to one side, and wrinkles may also occur. The pads were sewn together in a desired shape or at required intervals to form a composite skin, and the pad was covered with this composite skin.

However, in this case, the composite skin has a complex structure and is expensive, so in headrests where surface feel is not very important, it is necessary to bond the wading directly to the surface of the pad, or to bond the pad and wading together by foaming, etc. There is a wading integrated pad that is integrally formed by molding means and covers only a single piece of skin, thereby reducing costs.

An example of the configuration of a headrest having such a wadding integrated pad structure will be explained with reference to FIGS. 1 to 5. 1 indicates the entire headrest;
A wading-integrated pad 5 is constructed around the internal frame 2, in which a wading 4 made of an elastic material more flexible than the pad 3 is arranged at a portion of the pad 3 where the head of the seated person comes into contact.

When the pad 3 and the wading 4 have different flexibility, the wading 4 is compressed by the tension of the skin 7, especially the vertical tension c, and the pad 3 and the wading 4 are compressed. A step is formed at the boundary between a and b of the wading 4, and the part where the wading 4 is placed appears to be sunken as shown in FIG. 1, resulting in a disadvantage that the appearance is significantly impaired.

That is, the present invention takes into account the compressibility of wading due to the tension of the skin when covering the surface with the skin.
The thickness of the wadding is set in advance to be larger than the depth of the wadding receiving recess of the pad, and the surface is covered with a skin so that the relationship between each part when the wadding is compressed is approximately equal. .

FIG. 6 is a sectional view showing an example of the structure of a pad with integrated wadding according to the present invention, and shows the thickness of the wading 14.
t' is the depth of the wading receiving recess 16 of the pad 13.
The wadding integrated pad 15 is constructed by selecting a pad larger than h' and integrating it by adhesive or other means. Further, the width of the wading 14 is formed smaller than the opening width of the wading receiving recess 16, so that the wading 14 is smaller than the opening width of the wading receiving recess 16.
is buried with a gap of a required width over the entire inner circumference of the wading receiving recess 16. and the seventh
When the surface is covered with the skin 17 as shown in the figure, the pad 1
The wading 14, which is more flexible than 3, is the epidermis 17.
The thickness t' is almost equal to the depth h' of the wading receiving recess 6 of the pad 13, and there is no difference in level at each boundary, and the wadding 14 is compressed by the skin 17. As a result, the width is expanded, that is, the end face is shaped to bulge in the width direction, but the gap between the wadding 14 and the inner surface of the wading receiving recess 16 is the width of the bulging end face of the wading 14. As a result, the wading 14 is compressed without any interference with the pad 13, so that wrinkles etc. do not occur in the skin 17 at the boundary between the pad 13 and the wading 14, as shown in FIG. A unified appearance can be maintained.

In this covering of the skin 17, the compressibility of the wadding 14 due to the tension of the skin 17 is different depending on the tension in the vertical direction and the tension in the lateral direction. Although there are some differences, the compressibility of the wadding 14 due to the tension of the skin 17 at each location is taken into account, and the thickness t' of the wading 14 or the depth h' of the wadding receiving recess 16 of the pad 13 is determined accordingly. A gap may be defined between the wadding 14 and the inner surface of the wading receiving recess 16.

In this example, an example has been described in which the integrated wading pad is configured in the headrest of a vehicle seat, but it can also be configured in other areas such as a seat cushion, a seat back, etc., and its range of application is wide.

As described above, according to the present invention, it is possible to easily prevent the difference in level between the pad and the wadding that occurs when the surface of the wadding-integrated pad is coated with a skin, and also to reduce the gap between the wadding and the inner surface of the recess. The wadding is compressed well without interfering with the pad due to the relief when the wading is compressed.Therefore, wrinkles etc. do not occur on the skin at the boundary between the pad and the wading, so such wading is integrated. It has the effect of providing elasticity that is comfortable to the touch without impairing the appearance in the headrest of a vehicle seat having a type pad structure.
