[Background of the idea] The distribution of spiny lobsters is said to be widespread, from the Tokara Islands in Kagoshima Prefecture in the south to Ibaraki Prefecture in the north, but the reality is that the harvest of spiny lobsters in Japan is decreasing. However, the catch of traditional spiny lobsters using gillnet fishing equipment is decreasing not only because the total number of spiny lobsters has decreased, but also because they have been caught in the same fishing ground for many years, causing the spiny lobsters to become stranded and other One of the reasons is thought to be that they migrate to reefs.
In fact, diving surveys have confirmed that they live in clusters in rocky reef areas and deep water areas that are inconvenient for gillnet fish. Traditionally, it has been the established theory that the habitat of spiny lobsters is shallow rocky areas from around 15m deep on the coast, but according to the inventor's diving survey, they live from 1m below the low tide line to around 40m deep. Not only in rocky reef areas, but also in muddy bottoms,
It has been confirmed in many cases that spiny lobsters inhabit sand and gravel as long as there is something for them to hide in.

Spiny lobsters live at a depth of 30 to 40 meters.
It hides in crevices where there is less concealment than in shallow waters, and this is thought to be because deep waters are less affected by turbulent waves and currents. Therefore, in the terrain of underwater rocky valleys where the water depth is 30 to 40 m and the influence of turbulent waves and currents is small, the same effect as a heavy fish reef sunk in shallow water can be obtained with a fishing reef that is small in weight and has a simple internal structure.

Fig. 1 is a perspective view of the spiny lobster catcher, Fig. 2 is a vertical sectional view, and Fig. 3 is a bottom view. In the drawing, 1 is a frame made of glass concrete (GRC), and has dimensions of, for example, 40 cm in width, 28 cm in height, and 90 cm in depth, and a reef chamber 2 is provided inside. The reef chamber 2 has reef entrances 4 on both sides of the wave barrier 3, and is connected to a rest room 6 via a rear entrance path 5 connected to the reef entrance 4. In addition, a capture port 7 leading to the outside is provided at the bottom of the resting chamber 6, and this capture port 7 is closed by a lid portion 8 that can be opened and closed.
A water outlet 9 is provided at the rear of the rest room 6.
Furthermore, a hanging fitting 10 for tying ropes for sinking and lifting is embedded in the upper surface of the frame 1. The lid part 8 is attached to the frame body 1 by an opening/closing shaft 11 so as to be openable and closable, and can be closed to the frame body 1 by a stopper 12.

The reef entrance 4, which is the entrance to the reef chamber 2 where the spiny lobsters live, is sized according to the ecology of the spiny lobsters, and is closed off at the front and top and bottom, with the left and right sides open to the outside, and the rear entrance that leads to the reef chamber 2. Road 5 has been established.
The front wave barrier 3 contrasts the shadow area to attract spiny lobsters from the reef entrance 4, and also prevents the formation of deposits that would block the reef entrance 4. It plays the role of preventing clogging with bottom sediment and obstacles, and preventing rapid currents and waves from flowing into the reef chamber 2.

In addition, when the trap is submerged and set, the trapping port 7 is closed by the lid 8, and when it is pulled up on board and the stopper 12 is removed, the lid 8 opens naturally due to the weight of the lid 8, and the spiny lobster inside falls out. There is a system in place to do this.

Note that the water drain port 9 at the rear of the rest room 6 is provided to reduce the weight when salvaged. In order to effectively drain water from this water drain port 9,
In order to prevent the reefed spiny lobsters from escaping from the reef entry port 4 when being salvaged, the center of gravity of the spiny lobster catcher is at the rear, and the hanging fitting 10 is positioned so that the reef entry port 4 faces upward and the rear end faces downward when being salvaged. It is preferable to select Note that the water drain port 9 is not necessarily required, and water can also be discharged from the gap between the capture port 7 and the lid portion 8.

In the case of fish reefs, to prevent the artificial reefs from moving, overturning, dispersing, or being damaged due to ocean weather, it is important not only to have strength but also to increase the weight. In order to increase the effectiveness, it is preferable to make it lightweight, small, and robust so that it can be easily harvested. Furthermore, glass concrete is used as the main material for the frame 1 to make it lightweight and compact so that it can be easily set down by a rope from a ship and then hauled up for fishing operations. In addition, the strength of glass concrete is 6 to 7 times stronger than normal RC concrete, and the price is about the same as RC concrete. If this trap is made of RC concrete, the single reef structure will weigh 126 to 163 kg.
However, if glass concrete is used, the weight can be reduced to 56 to 70 kg.

Various methods can be considered for manufacturing this trap, such as manufacturing it in two pieces and combining them into one, or forming the internal reef chamber 2 using a water-soluble material or adhesive,
The reef chamber 2 may be exposed by being submerged in the sea and then dismantled naturally. In particular, newly manufactured products emit lye and odor from the material, and it takes about a year for the conditions for rocky lobsters to seep in, seaweed, and small animals to be satisfied. Therefore, the latter method is more likely.

The spiny lobster catcher according to the present invention is based on the habit of spiny lobsters to live in natural rock reefs, coral reefs, and gaps in underwater structures, and because they are nocturnal and during the day they penetrate deep into gaps in rocks and other structures to protect themselves and protect themselves. Taking advantage of their habit of living in the reef, we artificially provide a structure where the spiny lobsters can easily make a home, tie a rope in the style of an octopus pot, set it up, wait until the time is right for the rocky lobster to reach the reef, and then pull it out and capture it.

This spiny lobster catcher is basically an artificial reef for spiny lobsters, so the spiny lobsters can come in and out freely.
The longer the number of days the ship is submerged, the higher the reefing rate. Also, since it is not a trap, there is no need to worry about the rocky lobsters entering the reef becoming unable to get out and dying. Furthermore, taking advantage of the habits of spiny lobsters, fishing is carried out during the daytime when the spiny lobsters are on the reef, which improves efficiency and is favorable in terms of labor safety. Furthermore, since you can fish during the day when it's convenient for you, you don't have to rush to pull the fish up during bad weather, and even if you leave them unattended, they won't be damaged or washed away like gillnets. What's more, it has the advantage of being able to fish in unused fishing grounds with abundant habitat without competing with conventional gillnet fishing grounds, and in addition to being able to fish in fishing grounds that are difficult to fish with gillnets at a depth of around 40 meters.

Also, because it is lightweight and compact, it can be moved to any convenient fishing ground and set up. At that time, spiny lobsters can enter the reef and live there regardless of whether they are submerged in the upright or reverse position, vertically, or horizontally. Since spiny lobsters have a habit of returning to the reef within one week to two months after being re-deposited after being caught, if they are re-deposited in several fishing grounds and fished in a circular manner, the 10% increase in gillnet fishing
The fishing effect can be expected to be several times greater. Furthermore,
Similar to conventional gillnet fishing grounds, fishing can be carried out by one to three people manually or using a winch. For example, by opening the capture port 7 on the ike of a salvage boat, you can easily and quickly catch spiny lobster. It is possible to take out the spiny lobster and put it in the iketsu, allowing efficient work to be carried out without damaging the spiny lobster.

Predation damage from octopuses, which are the natural enemies of spiny lobsters, can be prevented by allowing moray eels to coexist with them. However, the trap according to the present invention has a structure that allows both spiny lobsters and moray eels to enter, settle, and live on the reef, so it is possible to prevent moray eels from feeding on them. Feeding damage can basically be prevented by the establishment of
