Abstract

PURPOSE: To observe at least a part of structure formed on the top of the outside sole from the outside of a shoes by providing a transparent peep windows in the bottom part of outside sole and the side of the shoes. CONSTITUTION: A transparent peep window 20, 20a is formed of a transparent elastmeric materials such as a polyurethane or a polyvinyl chloride, the elastmeric materials provides a suitable abrasion resistance. The peep window 20, 20a may be only made so as to elongate by partially penetrating the sole of an outer contour of the shoes but also may further preferable to be formed so as to observe an inside structure such as an inserting body 12 by fully penetrating the sole of the outer contour of the shoes. The sole of the side wall 22, 24, 28 is made so as to insert a rectangular peep window 20 into a hole formed by penetrating the sole 16 of the outer contour of the shoes. Similarly, each side wall 23, 25, 27, 29 are made so as to insert the rectangular window 20 by partitioning the hole formed by penetrating the sole 16 of the outer contour of the shoes. If made like this, the detachable type inserting body 12 and a supporting member 14 hanged from there can be observed through the window 20, 20a.

Intermediate soles of these conventional constructions have two undesirable properties. First, these intermediate soles have a large surface area that deforms when a downward force is applied to these soles. Second, the intermediate sole is fixed to the shoe. Therefore, the customer cannot select the cushioning properties of the intermediate sole without selecting another shoe.
