Therefore, as a treatment for the above-mentioned symptoms, a urinary hole is bored at the tip of the tube body.
Urinary catheters are known in which a container such as a urine collection bag is connected to the rear edge of a tube body. The tube body of the urinary catheter is then inserted into the urethra, and the distal end of the tube body is left in the bladder to urinate through the urinary hole. However, with such a configuration, the urinary bag and the bladder communicate with each other, making it difficult to ensure sterility within the urinary passageway, and the bladder becoming susceptible to infection by bacteria and fungi. For example, when bacteria and fungi grown in a urine collection bag connected to the rear end of the tube body enter the bladder through the tube body toward the bladder, cystitis is likely to occur.

To treat these urinary tract infections, it may be necessary to administer antibiotics or, in some cases, remove the catheter and wait until the symptoms of the infection have resolved.

Therefore, in order to prevent the above-mentioned urinary tract infections, treatments such as applying an antibacterial agent to the outer surface of the tube body of an indwelling catheter or washing the bladder through the tube body of an indwelling catheter have been performed.
However, it is extremely difficult to apply the drug inside the tube body, and properly and occasionally cleaning the bladder causes pain to the patient and increases the burden on the nursing staff. There is sometimes a risk of new bacteria and fungi entering the urethra and bladder, and none of the prevention methods is perfect.

(Function) This device traps bacteria and fungi that invade from outside the urethral opening in the mucus secreted by the human body's prostrate and urethra, preventing them from entering the bladder, and the urine in the bladder remains sterile. As a result of various studies, we found that by allowing the mucus secreted in this way to flow into the urinary passage of the catheter lumen through the mucus outflow hole without blocking it with the catheter, the mucus can be kept within the tube body. The inconveniences of the conventional method are solved by making the condition the same as in the urethra.

In the drawings, reference numeral 1 denotes a tube body made of flexible and bendable silicone rubber, latex rubber, etc., and equipped with a urinary passageway 2 through which urine, etc., flows out;
The distal end 3 is formed into a smoothly rounded warhead shape so as to be easily inserted into the urethra, and the distal end 4 is provided with a urinary hole 5 communicating with the urinary drainage passage 2 of the tube body 1.

Since the structure is as described above, the tube body 1 inserted into the urethra is
A plurality of mucus outflow holes 6 are drilled to communicate with the urinary passage 2 provided inside the tube, so the mucus secreted from the urethra passes through the mucus outflow holes 6 as shown by arrow B in Fig. 2 and enters the tube body. It flows into the passageway 2 in the tube body 1 and covers the inside of the tube body 1, so that the inside is in the same state as a normal urethra, and the tube body 1
Since the outer surface 1a of is also covered with secreted mucus,
Bacteria and fungi that invade through the urinary passage 2 and outer surface 1a of the tube body 1 can be trapped by the mucus, thereby preventing urinary tract infections. In addition, since the mucus outflow hole 6 provided in the tube body 1 is set as the urethral insertion area A, there is no mucus outflow hole 6 in the tube body 1 exposed outside the urethral opening when the tube body 1 is inserted into the urethra, and the tube body Direct entry of bacteria and fungi into the tube body 1 from the outer surface 1a of the tube body 1 can be prevented.

In addition, as shown in the illustrated example, the tip 4 of the tube body 1
By providing the urinary hole 5 in the tube body 1
The mucus that coats the inside and outside of the vicinity of the multiple mucus outflow holes 6 provided in the urethral insertion area A is removed every time urination occurs from the bladder, and at the same time it is covered with new mucus secreted from the urethra. The effect of preventing road infection can be further enhanced.

(Effect of the invention) As described above, according to the present invention, when the tube body is inserted into the urethra, the mucus secreted from the urethra flows into the tube body through the mucus outflow hole and coats the inner surface of the tube body. Since the outer surface of the tube body is also covered with mucus, the inside and outside of the tube body are in the same condition as the urethra, and invading bacteria and fungi can be reliably captured by the mucus inside and outside the tube body, preventing urinary tract infections. Since the hole provided in the tube is within the urethral insertion area, there is no hole in the tube body that is exposed outside the urethral meatus, so it is possible to prevent bacteria and fungi from directly invading the inside from the exposed outer surface of the tube body. It is effective in providing urinary catheters.
