Abstract

PURPOSE:To uniformize the floating amt. of a strip and to stabilize the traveling thereof by nearly horizontally installing the front surface of divided floater positioned in the uppermost part and adjusting the inclination of the front surface thereof in correspondence to the floating amt. of the strip. CONSTITUTION:The front surface of the uppermost floater 1a of the 90 deg. divided floaters 1 of the floating and supporting device is formed to a nearly horizontal shape in the traveling direction of the strip 6 to evenly receive the catenary of the strip 6. A displacement sensor 13 is mounted at nearly the same height as the height of ribs 5 atop the uppermost floater 1a and a supporting device 11 and a cylinder 12 to support the inclination of the uppermost floater 1a are disposed in the bottom. The angle on the front surface of the uppermost floater 1a is adjusted in accordance with the caternary by transporting conditions of the tension, etc., of the strip 6 by this means. The floating amt. of the strip 6 in the uppermost floater 1a is increased and the uniform floating of the strip 6 over the entire part of the floater is attained.

Fig. 2 is a side view of a conventional strip floating support device, Fig. 3 is a detailed view of its main parts, and Fig. 4 is an explanatory diagram of their functions. In FIG. 2, for example, in a continuous plating line, after the strip 6 is passed through a coating pot 9, air supplied from a blower 8 is passed through a 90° split floater 1 and The strip is distributed through piping 2 to a floater 7 with a 90° bend, and the strip 6 is floated and supported by the ejected air while being dried and conveyed. 10 is a roll. In FIG. 3, air is supplied to the 90°-divided floater 1 through piping 2 to float the strip 6.
Air is blown toward the strip 6 from the slit nozzles 3 at both ends of the floater 1 and the blowing holes 4 made on the top surface of the floater 1. The lip 5 provided on the upper surface of the floater 1 is for maintaining a pressure pocket between the strip 6 and the floater 1 so that the air blown from the slit nozzle 3 does not escape in the width direction of the strip 6. Also,
The slint nozzles 3 at both ends face each other at an angle of 30° to supply air in the longitudinal direction of the strip 6. The surface of the floater 1 is a curved surface with a radius R, and its central angle θ is 90''/5.The floater 7 with a 90° bend in FIG. 2 has almost the same structure.

In Fig. 4, the strip 6 is floated and conveyed by a floater l divided at 90 degrees, but as shown in the figure, the floating height of the strip 6 is becomes smaller. This occurs because there is no floater to float and support the strip 6, so that the strip 6 sag due to its own weight, the so-called catenary of the strip 6, is handled only by the vertical slint nozzle 3'.
When the amount of air to the floater 1 is increased in order to increase the flying height of the strip 6, the overall flying height increases and the floating on the floater 1 becomes uneven. In this way, in the conventional strip floating support device, in order to increase the floating height of the strip 6, the floater 1 is
If the amount of air to the strip 6 is increased, the floating amount of the strip 6 will increase and the floating shape will become uneven, causing the strip 6 to move up and down or meander in an unstable manner.
This causes problems such as contact with the floater l, and increasing the capacity of the blower 8 increases the cost of equipment and operation. [Means for Solving the Problems] The purpose of the floating support device for strips according to the present invention is to solve the above-mentioned problems. A divided floater, which is located at the top of each divided floater divided in a direction transverse to the running direction, and whose upper surface facing the strip is substantially horizontal; The device is characterized by comprising a device for adjusting the inclination of the upper surface relative to the surface of the strip, and a non-contact type instrument located on the upper surface for measuring the flying height of the strip.

That is, in the strip floating support device according to the present invention, the top surface of the divided floater located at the top is installed almost horizontally, and the inclination of this top surface with respect to the running direction of the strip corresponds to the floating amount of the strip. It is adjusted accordingly. [Embodiment] Fig. 1 is a side view and a front view of a strip floating support device according to an embodiment of the present invention. In the figure, the strip floating support device according to this embodiment has 9 parts as shown in the figure.
The top surface of the uppermost floater 1a of the 0°-divided floater 1 has a shape that is nearly horizontal in the running direction of the strip 6, so that the catenary of the strip 6 can be received evenly. A displacement sensor 13 is attached to the upper surface of the uppermost floater 1a at approximately the same height as the rib 5, and a support device 11 and a cylinder l2 for changing the inclination of the uppermost floater 1a are arranged at the bottom. The angle of the top surface of the top floater 1a can be adjusted in response to catenary changes due to conveyance conditions such as tension. In this way, the upper surface of the uppermost floater 1a is covered with the strip 6.
By creating a nearly horizontal shape that follows the catenary of the strip 6, the receiving surface of the top floater 1a that bears the weight of the horizontal portion of the strip 6 can be increased. Since there are cases where the upper surface of the upper floater 1a cannot be accommodated with a fixed shape, it is possible to change the f width of the upper surface of the uppermost floater 1a, and the f width is different from that of the upper floater 1a.
The catenary can be optimally set by measuring the floating height of the string 6 with a non-contact displacement needle attached to the top surface. Incidentally, by tilting the uppermost floater 1a, gas blow-through may occur between it and the adjacent 90° divided floater 1, which may adversely affect the floating of the strip 6. Therefore, an expandable bellows joint (not shown) is used. It is installed at the joint. In addition, multiple displacement sensors 1
3, it is possible to measure the floating height of the strip 6 as well as the catenary. With these,
The floating height of the strip 6 on the uppermost floater 1a is increased, and uniform floating of the strip 6 is achieved over the entire floater. [Effects of the Invention] The strip floating support device according to the present invention is constructed as described above, and the top surface of the divided floater located at the top is installed almost horizontally, and the top surface of this top surface is oriented in the direction of running of the string. Since the inclination is adjusted according to the floating height of the strip, the floating height of the strip can be made uniform, allowing the strip to run stably, and there is no need to increase the blower capacity, which reduces equipment and operating costs. Effects such as being resolved are produced.
