Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the reduction of accuracy from occurring in an optical element part, to miniaturize an image recorder and to reduce the cost thereof by providing a supporting leg device which can appear in an up-and-down direction according to the ruggedness of a ground surface at least at one spot on the ground part of the recorder main body. CONSTITUTION:A base cover 3 is integrally formed with a part 2 where an optical system 1 is arranged, and a side plate where a developing device 4, a cleaning device 5 and a fixing device 6, etc., are arranged and a driving system side plate which drives the devices 4, 5 and 6 are disposed on the base cover 3, then the leg device 7 is attached to the bottom surface of the base cover 3. The leg device 7 is mainly constituted of a stopper part 20 which protrudes from the bottom surface of the base cover 3, an engaging hole 21 provided around the stopper part 20, a spring 22 and a leg 23. Therefore, in a state where the ground surface is recessed, the supporting leg part 24 protrudes downward by the energizing force of the spring 22 so as to keep the recorder main body level owing to the balance with other leg device and leg. Thus, the degrading of the accuracy in the optical element part is prevented from occurring, the recorder is miniaturized and the cost thereof is reduced.

An image recording device that uses a laser beam has an optical system that converts image information into a latent image on a photoreceptor, an imaging system that converts the latent image into a visible image,
It has been common practice to support the paper feed section, the registration section, etc. and to hold the device on a separate member from the base to which the rubber feet on which the main body of the device is attached are attached (for example, Japanese Patent Laid-Open Publication No. 61-279869). However, in recent years, configurations have been proposed in which the optical system and the base are constructed as an integral part, or in which the optical system elements and the imaging system are supported by the same member (for example, Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 63-2
21367, JP-A-64-17076>. This type of configuration has become possible due to recent developments in resin molding technology and improvements in resin materials.

If such a new structure is adopted, the accuracy of the positional relationship between the laser beam irradiated from the optical system and the photoreceptor of the imaging system can be improved, and the number of parts can be reduced, such as eliminating the need for a housing for the optical system. There are many advantages such as cost reduction through reduction, reduction in assembly man-hours, miniaturization of the device body, etc.

However, very high-level installation may involve attaching other heavy components, such as an imaging system, to the component for attaching optical elements (e.g. lenses, mirrors) that require precision, and the If the flatness is poor, there is a problem in that using only the conventional rubber feet may cause a loss of accuracy in the optical element when a component on which a heavy object is mounted is bent or twisted.

This problem also affects the users of the devices, and is difficult to solve unless something is done on the device side. For example, in order to increase the vertical freedom of the rubber feet, the rubber material may be made softer, or the height of the rubber feet may be increased to accommodate unevenness on the ground surface, but in this case, the vertical freedom is increased. It is conceivable that the degree of freedom increases not only in the horizontal direction but also in the lateral direction, resulting in unstable ground contact.

In recent years, the demand for image quality has increased in recording devices, and the pixel density has increased to 240 dpi, 300 dpi, and 480 dpi.
dpi, 600 dpi and finer details are required, and the situation is such that there is an immediate rebound in the demand for improved precision in the optical system that determines pixel density, and the above problem has become extremely serious. .

The spring 22 is located between the stopper part 20 and the holding member 25 and is fitted to the outer periphery of the stopper part 20. The upper end thereof is in contact with the lower surface of the base cover 3, and the lower end thereof is in contact with the upper surface of the holding member 25, so that the entire leg 23 is urged to protrude downward. The spring constant of the spring 22 must be appropriately selected so as not to change due to displacement, with the condition that the load is the same as the height of the other legs when the main body of the device is grounded on a flat surface. The spring 22 may be made of elastic resin or the like in addition to a coil spring.

When the ground plane is in a convex state, the spring 22 is compressed by the reaction force of the load of the device main body against the legs 23, and the device main body is kept horizontal by balance with other leg devices and legs. However, the position where the upper end of the support leg portion 24 comes into contact with the lower surface of the base cover 3 is the maximum retracted state. At this time, the height of the spring 22 is higher than the height of each coil in close contact with each other, so that there is no pressure between each coil. Or, in the case of this type of elastic body, when the pressure from the ground surface becomes free within its elastic range, the first

As explained above, the image recording device according to the present invention has the following features:
A supporting leg device that can move up and down in the vertical direction following the unevenness of the ground surface is installed at at least one place on the grounding part of the recording device main body, so the device can be kept flat even if the surface on which the main body touches the ground is not flat. Since it can be grounded in the same way, there is no loss of accuracy in the optical element part, and sufficient printing device performance can be ensured even if the optical system, base cover, side plate, etc. are integrated into one mold. This has the effect that advantages such as a reduction in the number of parts due to integral molding, a reduction in assembly man-hours, a reduction in the size of the device, and a reduction in cost can be fully expected.
