Abstract

PURPOSE:To decrease and eliminate the change in the optical characteristics of he above optical element with a temp. change by providing a heat radiating means on an electrooptical medium. CONSTITUTION:A pair of electrodes 31A, 31B are provided on the electrooptical medium 30 of the optical element 300 and heat radiating fins 10 as the heat radiating means are provided on the surface on the side provided with the electrode 31a of the electrooptical medium 30. The heat radiating fins 10 are notched in the part corresponding to the electrode 31A to prevent the contact with the electrode 31A. The heat of the electrooptical medium is radiated by the heat radiating means 10 in such a manner. The temp. rise of the electrooptical medium is decreased in this way and the fluctuation in the lens effect of the optical element by the temp. change is effectively decreased.
