- It is used for boat fishing. In addition, the steel disclosed in Japanese Patent Publication No. 57-5871 is known as an improved steel of the 13cr martensitic stainless steel, and the present applicant filed the patent application on September 1, 1999 (Japanese Patent Application No. 1999).
-227187)) is also being applied for the same purpose. Further, JP-A-55-76048 also discloses a 16% Cr roll material as a "roll material for rolling glass plates." [Problem to be solved by the invention] The causes of the lifespan of glass forming rolls are roughness due to high-temperature oxidation, clouding due to chemical corrosion due to mirabilite, and formation of uneven patterns on the mold surface due to yielding of the mold material due to rising temperature of the mold surface. or,
The main problems include heat cracks and abrasion-like roughness due to lack of wear resistance. Among these, surface irregularities, heat cracks, and wear occur due to insufficient high-temperature strength of the mold material, but in recent years, molding temperatures have increased due to an increase in the amount of molded silicate glass, which has a high molding temperature. Because of this, these layers make the rolls more durable. This has become a problem. On the other hand, 16zCr roll material, 13Cr martensitic stainless steel, and the steel disclosed in Japanese Patent Publication No. 57-5871 were all unable to overcome the above problems. An object of the present invention is to provide a roll material for glass molding that has improved high-temperature strength, particularly suppresses the generation of heat cracks, and has an improved lifespan.

It was discovered that the addition of Nb suppresses the coarsening of crystal grains during quenching at high temperatures, enabling high-temperature quenching without reducing toughness.
This is based on the discovery that it imparts high-temperature strength and softening resistance to roll materials, and significantly increases the number of moldings until heat cracks occur. That is, this Ill light has C001 to 0.3% by weight,

A glass forming roll material containing 0.01 to 0.50% of Nb and 0.1 to 8% of Co, with the balance consisting of Fe and unavoidable impurities. [Function] Next, the reasons for limiting the range of components of the roll material of the present invention will be described. C is added as an austenite-forming element and is necessary to increase the strength at room temperature and high temperature as a martensitic structure through heat treatment, and also forms carbides, imparts wear resistance, and prevents coarsening of crystal grains. It is included for the following effects. If it is too high, the high temperature strength, which is a characteristic of this roll material, will be reduced, the heat crack resistance etc. will be reduced, and the toughness will also be reduced, so the upper limit is set at 0.3%. .10% or more. Si is included to improve oxidation resistance and raise the A1 transformation point, but if it is too large, it will reduce thermal conductivity and toughness, so the upper limit is set at 3.00%, and if it is too low, the content will decrease. Since no effect can be obtained, the lower limit is set at 0.10%. M r+ is added as a deoxidizing agent, but if it is too large, the oxidation resistance deteriorates, so it is limited to 1.5% or less. Ni, together with Co, greatly increases the adhesion of the surface oxide of the roll, improves the separation between the roll and the glass (and improves the life of the roll, but if it is too large, it lowers the A1 transformation point, and the roll material The upper limit is set at 1% because it reduces the high temperature strength, which is a characteristic of glass forming rolls. It combines with C to form carbides and has the effect of increasing wear resistance. The setting of Cr gives this roll material excellent high temperature strength while maintaining excellent oxidation resistance. In other words, if it is too large, the high temperature strength will be lowered, but if it is too small, the oxidation resistance will be insufficient.
The upper limit of the amount of r is set to 11.5%, and the lower limit is set to 8% in order to maintain the minimum necessary oxidation resistance. W and Mo can be added alone or in combination, and have the effect of precipitating fine carbides during tempering and increasing high-temperature strength. If the amount is too high, the toughness will be reduced, so one or both of W and Mo should be 172W+Mo and the content should be 2z or less, and if it is too low, the effect of the above addition cannot be obtained, so 0.5
% or more. (2) Precipitates fine carbides that are difficult to agglomerate during tempering, providing strength in high temperature ranges. If it is too large, the toughness will be reduced, so the upper limit is set at 1%. Also, if it is less than 0.1%, the above effect cannot be obtained, so 0.1% is less than 0.1%.
1% or more. Together with Ni, Co forms a dense and highly adhesive surface oxide film on the roll surface, which improves the separation between the roll and glass and improves the life of the roll. In addition, solid solution strengthening has a large effect of improving high-temperature strength. To obtain the above effect, 0.1% or more is required, but if it is too high, it will reduce toughness, increase annealing hardness, and reduce machinability. 6 Nb has the effect of suppressing coarsening of crystal grains during quenching at a high temperature in order to increase high-temperature strength and softening resistance. It is an important element for providing the excellent high-temperature strength that is characteristic of roll materials. If it is too large, carbides that are difficult to form a solid solution are formed and the toughness is lowered, so the content should be 0.50% or less. If it is too low, the effect of the above addition cannot be obtained, so the content should be 0.01% or more. [Examples] Next, the present invention will be explained in detail based on Examples. First, two rolls each made of steel with the composition shown in Table 1 were manufactured by casting, and one of them was used to test a tensile test piece, a heat crack resistance test piece, a sample for measuring the coefficient of thermal expansion, and a sample for measuring the quenched grain size. A test sample, a sample for softening resistance measurement, and a Charpy impact test piece (JIS Z 22024 test piece) were taken, and another test piece was used for practical testing. The heat treatment conditions and hardness are shown in Table 2. Table 1 Table 2 Unit: kgf/mm" Table 3 shows the tensile strength measured by a tensile test at room temperature and high temperature (700'C). Invention roll materials A and B. C and D are comparative materials It can be seen that the strength in the high temperature range is particularly excellent compared to conventional materials F and G.
The table shows the softening resistance expressed in hardness after holding for each time at ℃). Compared to conventional materials, the softening resistance of the roll material of the present invention is
It turns out that it's significantly better. These results are due to the fact that the Cr content of the roll material of the present invention is set to be low, and the standard quenching temperature is higher than that of the conventional mesh. Table 4 shows the quenching temperature, quenched Ml& austenite grain size, and toughness (2x
This figure shows the relationship between mU Notch Charpy impact value). Table 5 shows the heat crack resistance. The test piece was heated to 600°C with a gas burner and then cooled with water to 20°C.
This was repeated 1,000 times. It can be seen that Japanese Akira roll materials A, B, C, and D have superior heat crack resistance compared to comparative materials and conventional materials. Table 6 shows the coefficient of thermal expansion (average from 20 to 700°C), and it can be seen that the coefficient of thermal expansion is almost the same as that of conventional materials and close to that of glass, which is good. Table 7 Table 7 shows the roll life according to practical tests. The glass forming temperature is 1420°C. As shown in Table 7, the life time of the roll material of the present invention until it is discarded is much longer than that of the comparative material and the conventional material. [Effects of the Invention] As explained above, the glass forming roll material according to the present invention suppresses coarsening of crystal grains by reducing the amount of Cr in the 13% Cr roll material and adding Nb. It enables high-temperature quenching, increases high-temperature strength and softening resistance, suppresses the occurrence of heat cracks, and significantly extends the life of the roll.
