Abstract
PURPOSE:To speedily remove air bubbles by a method whereby an air vent of a cap is pressed in the sealed state when the air bubbles are sucked into a pressure chamber thereby to pressurize the ink inside an ink reservoir by the air pressure, and a lever mechanism is manipulated to detach a stopper from an outlet of a bubble escaping passage to open the outlet. CONSTITUTION:When an air bubble 29 is sucked into a pressure chamber 4, an air vent 15 of a cap 14 is sealed and pressed by the thick of a finger 16. At the same time, a fork part 23a of a lever 23 is pressed. As a result, the air pressure P inside an ink reservoir 5 is raised, and an ink 28 is pressurized. Moreover, a shaft 18 coupled to the lever 23 and a stopper 27 are brought upward against the elasticity of a compression spring 21, thereby opening an outlet 10 of a bubble escaping passage. Accordingly, the ink 28 in the ink reservoir 5 is allowed to flow vigorously outside from an ink nozzle 8 and the outlet 10 through a filter 7, an ink feed passage 6, the pressure chamber 4 and a bubble escaping passage 9.
