Abstract

PURPOSE:To use an antenna getter and also simplify attachment of a partition wall by causing the outer periphery of a ring-shaped member to make sealing contact with the inner wall of a neck portion by means of its elastic force when an electron gun is inserted into the neck portion. CONSTITUTION:A ring-shaped member 12 is formed into a plane ring shape having a notched portion 12a and its peripheral diameter is formed larger than the bore diameter of a neck portion 3. Prior to insertion of an electron gun into the neck portion 3 the ring-shaped member 12 is mounted to the high pressure electrode 8 of the electrode gun, to which an antenna getter is provided, and the outer periphery of the ring-shaped member 12 makes sealing contact with the inner wall of the neck portion 3 by means of its elastic force at the insertion of the electron gun into the neck portion 3. Thus attachment work of the cathode-ray tube is simplified and the use of an antenna getter is enabled.

[Detailed Description of the Invention] [Industrial Application Field] This invention relates to a cathode ray tube with improved voltage resistance characteristics. [Prior Art] Figure 5 is a sectional view showing the structure of a conventional cathode ray tube, in which a panel (1), a funnel (2), and a neck (3) constitute a vacuum envelope of the cathode ray tube. Panel (1

In conventional cathode ray tubes such as those mentioned above, during manufacturing, foreign matter adheres to the shadow mask (5), phosphor screen (4), and other parts of the tube and is trapped inside the tube, and electronic particles are removed during manufacturing. When inserting the gun (11) into the neck part (3),
When the support spring (9) touches the internal conductive film (6), a part of the conductive film (6) is peeled off, and conductive foreign matter is moved to the neck part (3) due to vibrations and shocks caused by transportation, etc., and the low voltage electrode (7)
Frequently, the particles adhere to the high-voltage electrode (8) and cause discharge between the two electrodes, causing stray emissions, and significantly deteriorating the withstand voltage characteristics of the cathode ray tube. Therefore, as shown in Fig. 6, the neck part (
Attempts have been made to fix a partition wall (12) made of glass or ceramic ivy to the inner wall of the electron gun (11) by welding or gluing to prevent foreign matter from moving into the electron gun (11).

[Means for Solving the Problems] A cathode ray tube according to the present invention includes a ring mounting member provided on the outer periphery of a high voltage electrode, and a ring-shaped member formed of an electrically insulating material and positioned by the ring mounting member. When this electron gun is inserted into the neck part,
It is characterized by a structure in which the outer periphery of the ring-shaped member contacts the inner wall of the neck portion with elastic force without any gap.

[Function] Before inserting the electron gun into the neck, the ring-shaped member
When the antenna getter is attached to the high-voltage electrode of an electron gun and the electron gun is inserted into the neck, the outer periphery of the ring-shaped member comes into contact with the inner wall of the neck with elastic force without a gap. Therefore, the installation work is easy and the antenna getter can be used.

In addition, the ring-shaped member forms a barrier wall with no gaps together with the ring mounting member, so foreign matter attached to the fluorescent screen or shadow mask, fine particles of the internal conductive film scraped by the support spring, etc. are blocked by this barrier wall. Since the particles are prevented from moving between the low-voltage electrode and the high-voltage electrode, it is possible to obtain a cathode ray tube with good withstand voltage characteristics without discharge or stray tension.

In the figure, (l2) is a ring-shaped member made of a polymeric insulating material, and this ring-shaped member (12) is formed into a planar annular shape having a notch (12a) as shown in FIG.
Its outer diameter is larger than the inner diameter of the neck (3). Therefore, when this ring-shaped member (l2) is inserted into the neck part (3), its outer periphery contacts the inner wall of the neck part (3) due to its own elasticity.

[Effects of the Invention] As described above, according to the present invention, the ring mounting member provided on the outer periphery of the high voltage electrode and the ring mounting member provided on the outer periphery of the high voltage electrode, when positioned by this member and inserted into the neck portion, the outer periphery of the high voltage electrode is inserted into the neck portion. Since it is equipped with a partition wall consisting of a ring-shaped member that contacts the inner wall surface with elastic force without any gaps, the ring-shaped member can be attached with a simple installation process, and the high-voltage electrode and low-voltage electrode of the electron gun can be easily attached. This has the effect of preventing foreign matter from moving between the tubes and providing a cathode ray tube with good withstand voltage characteristics that does not cause discharge or stray emissions.
