One end of a tension spring 10 is connected to the tip of this arm 9, and the other end of this tension spring 10 is rotated toward the aircraft body. The side plate 5 of the paper feed container 1 is connected to one end of the rotating body 11 which is movably mounted, and a locking portion 6 is provided at a different position for each paper feed container 1 depending on the size of copy paper to be accommodated. When this paper feed container 1 is attached to the machine body, the rotary body 11 that engages with the locking portion 6 is rotated to cause the tension spring 10 to close between the paper feed roll 2 and the uppermost copy paper 4a. A paper feeding device characterized in that a tensile force is applied to the copy paper to produce a different pressing force depending on the size of the copy paper.
