Conventionally, a silicone pad is used to transfer print the photocurable ink applied on the intaglio plate, and the silicone pad is pressed onto the photocurable ink on the intaglio plate to place the photocurable ink on the silicone pad, and then, The photocurable ink is transferred to the printing material and then cured by light irradiation. However, simply pressing the silicone pad onto the photocurable ink on the intaglio plate does not fully coat the silicone pad, and this causes transfer printing. The current situation is that it has become a network.

This invention focuses on this fact and makes it possible to sufficiently place the photocurable ink on the intaglio onto the silicone pad for transfer printing.
The feature is that a silicone pad for transfer printing is prepared that has a built-in light source and is translucent, and when the silicone pad is pressed against the photocurable ink coated on the intaglio, the light source is irradiated. The photocurable ink is semi-cured near the contact surface with the silicone pad so that the ink can be placed on the silicone pad for transfer printing.

The details will be explained below based on the drawings. 1st
The figures and FIG. 2 illustrate a transfer printing silicone pad 1 used in carrying out the method of the invention, which incorporates a light source 2, such as a light source with relatively low ultraviolet intensity, such as a small flash for a camera; The entire silicon pad 1 or at least the lower part 1a of the silicon pad 1 than the light source 2 is made transparent or semi-transparent so that the light from the light source 2 is transmitted downward.

This invention attempts to perform transfer printing using the silicon pad 1 having such a structure, and this will be explained based on FIG. 3. In FIG. A photocurable ink 3 is applied to an intaglio plate 5 provided in a concave manner, and the silicone pad 1 for transfer printing is placed above the intaglio plate 5. First, as shown in FIG. 3, the silicone pad 1 is lowered onto the intaglio plate 5 and pressed against the photocurable ink 3, and in this pressed state, the light source 2 is irradiated to half the surface of the photocurable ink 3 in contact with the silicone pad 1. After curing, the photocurable ink 3 is applied to a silicone pad 1 as shown in FIG.
Pick it up. At this time, since the light from the light source 2 is weak, the ink 3 is not completely cured even near the contact surface with the pad 1, but is in a semi-cured state. Therefore, most of the semi-cured ink 3 is picked up by the semi-cured layer near the contact surface with the silicone pad 1 without being left on the intaglio plate 5. The surface of the photocurable ink 3 placed on the silicone pad 1 is a semi-cured layer as described above, but the lower layer is in an uncured state. Next, as shown in FIG. 3, the photocurable ink 3 picked up by the silicone pad 1 is transferred to a printing material 6. At this time, since the silicone pad 1 has excellent transferability, the photocurable ink 3 is transferred to the printing medium 6 even in a semi-cured state. After the transfer, as shown in FIG. 3, a separate light source 7 (160 W/cm), which has a higher ultraviolet intensity than the light source 2, is used to completely remove the uncured portion of the lower layer of the photocurable ink 3 on the printing substrate 6. It is hardened to ensure that it adheres to the printing material 6.

As explained above, according to the present invention, when picking up the photocurable ink 3 on the intaglio plate 5 onto the silicone pad 1, the surface of the photocurable ink 3 in contact with the silicone pad 1 is semi-cured by light irradiation and then picked up. This has the advantage that the ink 3 can be sufficiently and reliably picked up from the intaglio plate 5.
