Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable a malfunction for an object item having a high reflecting rate to be forcedly eliminated by a method wherein a selector switch in which a user can stop intentionally a function of a non-contact detecting sensor is installed in a setting device. CONSTITUTION:A temperature of mixed hot water is controlled such that a temperature sensed by a temperature sensor 24 is always compared with another temperature set by a setting device 29 and a degree of valve opening at a hot water side of a mixing valve 21 and degree of valve opening at a cold water side are controlled. As means for electrically opening or closing a water stopper valve 25, an operating means for operating a contact type switch 30 of the setting device 29 and a non-contact detecting sensor 28 at a plug 26 are provided. A starting or a stopping from the non-contact detecting sensor 28 can be selected under an operation of the selector switch 31 installed at the setting device 29. With such an arrangement, a selection of starting or stopping of the operation of the sensor 28 can be easily carried out under a will of the user, resulting in that a sensing area distance and a working area distance can be matched and then a malfunction with the target object item can be forcedly eliminated.

In addition, a hot water pipe 8 and a water pipe 9 are connected to the valve body 6, and when the lever 2 is operated up or down, hot water comes out/stops and the flow rate changes! It has a structure that allows you to adjust the temperature of the mixed water by changing the mixing ratio of hot water and water by rotating it.

A non-contact sensing center 5 provided facing downward near the water spout 4 is connected to the drive unit 1 via a connecting rod 7, and when a hand or an object approaches the non-contact sensing center 5, it emits a sensing signal and senses it. While the signal is being generated, the drive unit 1 outputs an output, and then the lever 2 is automatically pushed up via the connecting rod 7 to start dispensing the hot water.

Problems to be Solved by the Invention An automatic water faucet equipped with a non-contact sensing sensor (the one in the publication is a side-to-side photoelectric sensor) allows a hand or an object to approach or move away from a sensing area set by a non-contact sensing center. Since hot water can be turned on/off automatically by operation, it provides convenience and a sense of cleanliness when washing dishes in the kitchen or washing hands in the toilet, but it may malfunction contrary to the user's intention. For example, if there is a pot or container made of highly reflective stainless steel or the like outside the sensing area, it will reflect the light from the projector and cause a malfunction.

In addition, if the sensing area distance is set short in fear of malfunction, when washing dishes in the kitchen, the dishes have to be turned upside down, so the vertical movement is large, and if the work area and the sensing area are not matched, it is necessary to turn on the hot water in the middle of the work. There are issues such as shutting off the water when necessary and turning on the hot water when it is not needed.
