Abstract

PURPOSE:To uniformly bond varnish to the surface of tube without permeating the varnish into braided sleeve and to obtain a braided tube to facilitate insertion operation of inserting material in the following process by carrying out varnish treatment and curing treatment while feeding a gas into the braided sleeve. CONSTITUTION:For example, a fixed amount of a gas (e.g. air) is sent from a gas inlet pipe 11 through an attached pipe 13 to a braided tube T. Further, in a state of gas fed to the braided sleeve 1, the braided sleeve 1 (braided from glass fiber, carbon fiber or polyester fiber) is introduced to a varnish treating tank 5 and the surface of the sleeve is uniformly coated with varnish to make a varnish coated braided sleeve 1A. Successively, the sleeve is heated and cured in a furnace 7 to produce braided tube T. By this method, the varnish is not permeated into the inner face of the sleeve, the surface of the sleeve is smooth and insertion operation is facilitated.

BACKGROUND ART Conventionally, a braided tube in which a braided sleeve is coated and impregnated with varnish has been manufactured through, for example, a stringing process, a winding process, a heat cleaning process, a varnishing process, and a diameter adjustment process, respectively. In this conventional method, there is a problem that the braided sleeve is deformed or bent between each process, and furthermore, the amount of work in progress at each process increases, inventory management becomes complicated, and transportation costs between each process increase. There is also the problem of growth.

However, in the braided tube obtained by the above continuous method, the varnish penetrates into the inner surface of the sleeve.
It has been found that a new problem arises in that it becomes difficult to insert an insert such as an electric wire into the braided tube in a later process. Furthermore, the state of adhesion of the varnish to the surface of the braided tube is also uneven, resulting in adhesion spots.

In the braided tube manufacturing method of the present invention, varnish treatment, heating, and curing are performed while supplying gas into the braided sleeve, which increases the pressure inside the sleeve and prevents the varnish from penetrating into the inner surface of the sleeve. Ru. As a result, the inner surface of the braided tube becomes smooth, making it easier to insert the insert body in the subsequent process.

Furthermore, although the reason why the varnish adhesion state on the surface of the braided tube becomes uniform is not well understood, it is thought to be related to the increase in the internal pressure of the sleeve.

To manufacture a braided tube using this device, first, glass fibers 2 are braided using a string making machine 3 to create a braided sleeve l having a constant diameter. Then, the braided sleeve 1 is adjusted to a predetermined speed by the feed pulley 6 and the take-out pulley 8 as it is, and is immersed in the silicone varnish 4 in the varnish treatment tank 5 under a predetermined tension to be varnished. The braided sleeve 1 is immersed in the silicone varnish 4 of the varnish treatment tank 5, and the silicone varnish 4 adheres thereto while passing from the inlet 5a to the outlet 5b, thereby creating a varnish-coated braided sleeve IA. The varnish-treated coated braided sleeve IA is further heated as it is continuously in the heating furnace 7, the silicone varnish 4 is cured, and the braided tube T is manufactured. The braided tube T is taken out by the take-out pulley 8,
It is wound up on a winding roll 9.

In this case, a certain amount of gas is sent to the gas inlet pipe 11 by a pump (not shown) or the like, and is sent to the rotary coupling, through the attachment pipe 13, into the braided tube T, and further into the varnish-coated braided sleeve lA. , braided sleeve l
Retrospectively. Therefore, varnish treatment, heating, and curing treatment are performed respectively while gas is supplied to the internal pressure of the braided sleeve 1 and the varnish-coated braided sleeve. The amount of varnish deposited on the braided sleeve I can be changed as appropriate by adjusting the varnish treatment time, varnish viscosity, glass fiber binding agent, mesh roughness of the braided sleeve I, and the like.

In the method of the present invention, the braided sleeve I can be made by braiding inorganic fibers such as glass fibers and carbon fibers, organic fibers such as polyester fibers, etc. using a lace-making machine in a conventional manner. The braided sleeve may be double or triple-braided. Varnishes include silicone varnishes (including so-called silicone rubber varnishes), alkyd varnishes, urethane, acrylic and other modified varnishes, and various varnishes for purposes such as electrical insulation, thermal protection, and improving mechanical strength. If necessary, it is diluted with a solvent such as xylene and used.

Furthermore, air or an inert gas is used as the gas supplied into the braided sleeve 1, IA, and usually air is used. Further, an extremely small amount of gas supply is sufficient, and good results can usually be obtained by simply setting the gas pressure to less than log/am'. It is preferable to reduce the amount of gas supplied when the tube diameter is large, and to increase it when the tube diameter is small.
