本発明は、かかる問題点の解決を企図するものである。In the aforementioned steering wheel, when operating the membrane switch to sound the horn, the upper surface of the pad portion is pressed to short-circuit the electrode plates of the membrane switch. However, as described above, a large number of spacers are arranged between the electrode plates of the switch to maintain the gap between the electrode plates. Therefore, depending on whether the pressing position is directly above the spacer or above the part where the spacer is not placed,
The pressing force required to operate the switch is different (6th
(see figure, dashed line). Therefore, even if the same pressing force is applied to the upper surface of the pad portion, the horn may or may not sound depending on the part pressed. The present invention is intended to solve these problems.

Furthermore, each planar switch is connected in parallel and functions as a single membrane switch. Therefore, even if the pressed position is directly above the spacer of the planar switch and the planar switch cannot be short-circuited, other planar switches will be short-circuited. That is, it can function as a membrane switch.

無い。Examples of the present invention will be described below. (1) Overall structure of the steering wheel FIG. 2 is a plan view showing the external appearance of the present steering wheel, and FIG. 1 is a view showing a longitudinal section of the pad portion 2. As shown in FIG. 2, the steering wheel 1 of this embodiment is composed of a central pad portion 2, spokes 3 to which the pad portion 2 is fixed, and a ring 4 integral with the spokes 3. . Further, the pad portion 2 is formed with a thin portion 25 that is cut when the airbag is activated. As shown in FIG. 1, the pad portion 2 has a substantially rectangular parallelepiped container shape, and an airbag 5 is folded and stored in an internal space 20 thereof. The pad portion 2 is formed of urethane foam with an annular reinforcing member 21 made of hard resin as an insert, and the lower part of the reinforcing member 21 has an annular double wall structure. The double wall structure forms an insertion groove 38 that is open downward, and the upper end side of the side 40 of the L-shaped mounting member 39 is inserted into the insertion groove 38. Furthermore, the mounting member 39
The lower part of the side 40 is the reinforcing member 2 forming the double wall structure.
It is riveted to the outer side wall of 1. On the other hand, the center part of the bottom plate part 41 of the mounting member 39 is an opening, the inflator 8 is fitted into the opening, and the flange 9 and the bottom plate part 41 of the mounting member 39 are bolted together. . By fixing the mounting member 39 to the spoke 3 extending from the boss 10, the pad portion 2 is fixed to the spoke 3. Note that 11 is a cover that covers the lower part of the pad section 2. On the other hand, the above-mentioned thin portion 25 is provided on the upper surface portion 22 of the pad portion 2.
is formed, and its cutting is performed on the upper surface 2 of the pad portion 2.
2a and 22b are opened upward using the end portions 26a and 26b as hinges (as shown by the two-dot chain line in FIG. 1). Note that the outer groove 23 is a groove provided as a design, and the inner groove 24 is a groove provided for cutting. In addition, a net 23a is provided on the inner layer portion 27 of the upper surface portion 22.
, 28b, and a membrane switch 29a. 29b are arranged by insert molding, and the ends of the nets 28a and 28b are fixed to the reinforcing member 21. In addition, membrane switches 29a and 29b

30b-31b are taken out. Lead wires 31a, 3
1b is a ground wire, which is connected to a metal plate 6 extending from the boss 10. In addition, lead wires 30a, 30b
is a signal line, which is electrically connected to the vehicle body via the slip ring 7 and the slider 12 that is in sliding contact with the slip ring 7. Further, a spiral method may be used as the relay method. (2) Membrane switch Next, the details of the membrane switch 29a (29b) mentioned above will be described. FIG. 3 is a sectional view of the membrane switch, and FIGS. 4 and 5 are the switches SWI and SWI of FIG. 3, respectively.
FIG. 7 is a diagram showing an arrangement pattern of spacers of SW2. The membrane switch 29a (29b) includes a planar switch SWI and a planar switch S, as shown in FIG.
It forms a stacked structure with W2, and both switches SWI and S
W2 are connected in parallel. That is, both switches SWI
, SW2's contact member 76 is shared, and the other contact members 75 and 77 are connected at an end (not shown). The planar switch SW2 prints a resist 72Δ with a diameter of 3 mm in the pattern shown in FIG. 5 on a stainless steel plate 77 with a thickness of 0.1 mm, and then prints an adhesive 72B on the resist 72A. Thereafter, a contact member 76 made of phosphor bronze having a thickness of 0.08 mm was adhered. In addition, the planar switch SWI has a resist 71A having a diameter of 21 on a stainless steel plate 75 having a thickness of 0.1 mm.
After printing in the pattern shown in the figure, an adhesive 71B is printed on the resist 71A, and then the contact member 76 side of the switch SW2 is adhered. Note that each spacer is arranged such that the spacer 72 of the switch SWI is located at the center of gravity of the spacer 71 of the switch SW2. Regarding the steering wheel 1 equipped with a membrane switch having such a configuration, a case will be considered in which the pad portion 2 (on the contact member 75 side) is pressed with a similar pressing force. When the pressing position is directly above the spacer 71 of SV/1, the pressing force is applied to the contact member 76 via the spacer 71, and the contact members 76 to 77 of the switch SW2 are short-circuited. That is, the contact member 76 directly below the spacer 71 is pushed down and comes into contact with the contact member 77. On the other hand, the pressed position is the spacers 71 to 7 of the switch SWI.
1, the contact members 75 to 1 of the switch SWI
76 is shorted. That is, the pressed position of the contact member 75 is pushed down and comes into contact with the contact member 76 . In this way, no matter where the suppressed position is on the membrane switch, either one of the switches will be short-circuited with the same pressing force. This makes the membrane switch conductive and allows the horn to sound. In addition, in the above embodiment, the contact member 75 is replaced by the contact member 7.
In the case where the switch SWI is configured to be slightly harder than the switch SWI, the operation when the pressing position is between the spacers 71 to 71 of the switch SWI is different from that in the above case. In that case, the pressing force is applied to the contact member 76 via the contact member 75 and the spacer 71, shorting the contact members 76 to 77 of the switch SW2. That is, the switch SWI functions not as a switch but as a member for dispersing the pressing force. FIG. 6 is a characteristic diagram showing values of the operating load required to conduct the membrane switch measured on a straight line, and the effects of this embodiment are clear from the characteristic diagram. That is, in the conventional case (in the case where the membrane switch is configured with only the switch SWI, the broken line), the operating load increases at the position of the spacer of the switch SWI, and decreases at the position between the spacers. On the other hand, in the case of this embodiment (switches SW1 and S
When a membrane switch is configured with W2, the operating load is uniform throughout (solid line). That is, there is almost no local variation in the pressing force required to sound the horn.

A planar switch is constructed with a large number of spacers, and a plurality of planar switches are connected in parallel, and the spacers of each planar switch are bonded in multiple layers so that they do not overlap each other. According to the present invention, the operating load required to short-circuit the membrane switch is made uniform over the entire operating surface of the membrane switch. Therefore, the problem that the horn may or may not sound depending on the suppressed position is prevented.
