【実用新案登録請求の範囲】 (1) インストルメントパネルの助手席側に開口
が形成され、該開口を覆うリツドが施蓋状態では
前方へ向けて凸となる湾曲形状を有し、且つ車幅
方向に延びる分割ラインを境として上リツドと下
リツドとの分割構成とされ、ケース内にエアバツ
グを収納してなるエアバツグユニツトが上記開口
に対応してインストルメントパネル内に配設され
、膨張するエアバツグが上記リツドを上記分割ラ
インより強制的に押し開いて上記開口を通して車
室内に展開されるようにした自動車のエアバツグ
構造において、 前記リツドのうち、少なくとも下リツドは、そ
の車幅方向両側部の下端部が車体側部材に対して
回動自在に連結され、 該下リツドには、弱化溝が形成されて、該下リ
ツドが開かれたときに、該下リツドの車幅方向中
央部における下端部が下方向に向けて撓み変形自
在とされている、 ことを特徴とする自動車のエアバツグ構造。 (2) 請求項(1)において、 前記下リツドには、その下端部に車幅方向に直
