- 【実用新案登録請求の範囲】 自動車の運転席の前方に設けられ、衝突時に前
方に移動される運転者の膝部を受止めてその膝部
に加わる衝撃力を吸収する膝部保護装置において
、 運転者の膝部に対向する位置に、車体側に支持
されてステアリングシヤフトの両側にそれぞれ配
置された右側及び左側保護部材と、 前記ステアリングシヤフトの車室側を覆つて車
体側に支持された中央部保護部材と、 を備えたことを特徴とする自動車の膝部保護装
置。
