Abstract

PURPOSE:To manufacture a fishing rod having no internal cavity, high strength and a smooth surface by spirally winding a reinforcing tape around the outer periphery of a rod main body wherein a prepreg is wound around a metal core and externally fitting a heat-shrinkable tube to the outer periphery thereof. CONSTITUTION:A prepreg 1 prepared by impregnating arranged sheets composed of a high strength fiber such as a carbon fiber with a synthetic resin is wound around a metal core to form a rod main body 2. A reinforcing tape 3 composed of a high strength fiber impregnated with a synthetic resin is spirally wound around the outer periphery of the rod main body 2 by tensile force capable of obtaining the tight binding force necessary for the rod main body 2 so that the end edges of said tape in the lateral direction thereof are brought to an almost close contact state to sufficiently bind the rod main body 2 tight. A heat-shrinkable tube 4 made of a synthetic resin is externally fitted to the outer periphery of the reinforcing tape 3 to be baked in a heating oven and thermally shrunk to bind the reinforcing tape 3 tight and the movement of the synthetic resin at the time of baking is prevented to integrally bond the reinforcing tape 3 and the rod main body 2.

造するようにしたものが提案されている。

ぐことが出来て所定肉厚に成形することが出来るのであ
り、又、表面を滑らかにすることが出来るのである。

の補強テープ(3)の外周に合成樹脂製の熱収縮チュー
ブ(4)を套嵌して、加熱炉で焼成し、この焼成により
前記熱収縮チューブ(4)を熱収縮させて前記補強テー
プ(3)を緊縛し、この補強テープ(3)及び前記竿本
体(2)における合成樹脂の焼成時における移動を防止
し、補強テープ(3)と竿本体(2)とを一体的に結合
して所定肉厚の釣竿を製造するのである。

を製造出来るのである。

を防止出来るのであるから、竿本体の内部に空洞のない
高強度の釣竿を製造できると共に、所定肉厚で、表面の
滑らかな釣竿を製造することができるのである。
