The conventional windshield molding 16 as shown in FIG. 1 is a strip-shaped molding that hides the gap 9 between the window glass 4 and the body panel 6 when the molding 16 is attached to the gap 9 between the window glass 4 and the body panel 6, as shown in FIG. Both side edges of the main body 2 were slightly raised, creating a gap 17, which caused problems in terms of appearance. In addition, 18 is adhesive,
19 is a dumb rubber.

Reference numeral 10 denotes a windshield molding, which is formed into a substantially T-shaped cross section by a strip-shaped molding main body 2 and leg portions 3.

The leg portion 3 has a fin 11 on the window glass 4 side.
One and two fins 7 are provided on the body panel 6 side and project upward. Fin 1 on window glass 4 side
A thick wall portion 8 with a triangular cross section is formed at the base of the cylindrical member 1, an enlarged edge 12 with a substantially semicircular cross section is formed above the tip, and a bendable central thin wall portion 13 is formed in the middle. 19 is a dam rubber, and 18 is an adhesive.

Thus, the leg portion 3 of the molding 10 is connected to the window glass 4.
When pushing the fin 1 into the gap 9 between the body panel 6 and
1 is bent at the central thin part 13, and the enlarged edge 12 descends while contacting the end surface of the window glass 4, and the molding 10
When it is fully pushed in, the central thin part 13 is bent toward the leg part 3, and the outer surface of the bent central thin part 13 comes into contact with the lower ridge 5 of the end surface of the window glass, and the edge of the molding body 2 and the fin 11 and hold the window glass 4 in a sandwiching manner. That is, the fin 11 has a large upward force due to the reinforcing action of the thick wall portion 8 at its base, and the fin 11 bends at the central thin wall portion 13 to form a substantially dogleg shape, and sinks into the lower surface of the window glass 4. That is, since the fin 11 is bent, its repulsive force pulls the leg 3 downward, and the window glass 4 is sandwiched between the fin 11 and the molding body 2, so that the molding body 2 is brought into complete contact with the window glass 4. There is no gap caused by lifting.
Note that the central thin portion 13 is easily bent due to the enlarged edge 12, and the tips of the fins 11 do not accidentally sink into the underside of the window glass 4.

As described above, this invention provides a windshield molding 10 in which at least one upward fin 11, 7 is provided on each side of the leg part 3, and the leg part 3 and the molding body 2 form a substantially T-shaped cross section. , a thin part 8 having a triangular cross section is formed at the base of the fin 11 on the side that contacts the window glass 4, an enlarged edge 12 having a substantially semicircular cross section on the upper side of the tip, and a central thin part 13 which is bendable in the middle. When the leg part 3 of the molding 10 is pushed into the gap 9 between the window glass 4 and the body panel 6, the central thin part 13 is bent and its outer surface is in contact with the lower ridge 5 of the end face of the window glass 4. Therefore, when the edge of the molding main body 2 strongly adheres to the window glass 4, and the thick part is not provided at the base of the fin 20 in the conventional windshield molding 16 shown in FIGS. 1 and 2. like,
The upward force of the fin 20 on the window glass 4 side, that is, the leg 3
There is no problem that the molding 16 floats up due to insufficient force to draw it downward, creating a gap 17 between it and the window glass 4, etc., which deteriorates the appearance.
