(Industrial Application Field) The present invention relates to a slump loss inhibitor for cement mixtures, and more specifically, it can be added to cement mixtures such as mortar and concrete whose fluidity has been improved by cement dispersants, etc. This invention relates to a drug that prevents the deterioration of properties over time (hereinafter referred to as slump loss) and improves workability. (Prior Art) The consistency of cement mixtures such as mortar and concrete decreases over time due to hydration reactions between cement and water, resulting in a decrease in workability. This phenomenon is generally called slump loss. Slump loss in cement mixtures causes problems in ready-mixed concrete, such as limited transportation time, quality changes due to waiting time at the pouring site, poor workability, and reduced durability due to cold joints. In addition, at factories that manufacture secondary concrete products, accidents such as sudden increases in pumping pressure or blockage of pumps occur when the pumping of cement mixtures is temporarily interrupted due to lunch break or trouble, and then resumes pumping. Furthermore, if compaction or other forming is delayed for some reason after pouring the cement mixture into the formwork, problems such as non-filling may occur. Therefore, slump loss in cement mixtures is an important issue that must be solved in order to control the quality of cement mixtures and improve workability in ready-mixed concrete plants, secondary product manufacturing plants, and other places. Conventionally, the following methods have been known as measures to prevent slump loss. (b) A method of increasing the unit water volume of concrete. (b) Method by adding cement dispersant afterwards. (c) Method by repeated addition of cement dispersant. (d) Addition of setting retardant or use in combination with cement dispersant. Method (a) above involves increasing the unit amount of water in anticipation of slump loss up to the time of pouring the cement mixture, but although this improves workability, it also causes a decrease in the strength of the hardened product and This is accompanied by a quality disadvantage in that durability is lowered due to cracks caused by shrinkage, or an economic disadvantage in that the amount of cement per unit increases in order to obtain a specified strength. Method b) is a temporary liquidity improvement measure;
Even after the purpose of maintaining slump has been completed, the cement dispersant remains locally in the cement mixture, resulting in localized bleeding and negative effects such as a decrease in strength. The method c) involves re-adding the admixture at the time of slump loss, and does not completely prevent slump loss. Moreover, repeated additions are disadvantageous in terms of workability and economy. Method d) uses a retarder such as oxycarboxylate, lignin sulfonate, dextrin, or humic acid alone or in combination with a cement dispersant to delay the setting time of the cement mixture and maintain its fluidity. However, if excessive addition is made, there is a very high risk of causing accidents such as a decrease in strength or poor curing. As described above, each method has its own drawbacks and poses practical problems. (Problems to be Solved by the Invention) The present inventors have improved the above-mentioned drawbacks and have improved the fluidity of cement mixtures by simply adding a cement dispersant or the like to a cement mixture whose fluidity has been improved. As a result of intensive research on agents that can effectively prevent slump loss without affecting other physical properties such as slump loss, it was discovered that a specific copolymer is effective, and the present invention was achieved. Monoamidated product with alkanolamine or itaconic acid is amidated with ammonia and then added with ethylene oxide or propylene oxide. Examples include monoamidated products, and one or more of these can be used. Further, the number of moles of alkylene oxide added, represented by n or p+q, is suitably 1 to 100, and it is not preferable to use a monomer (b) added more than that, since the polymerization yield will decrease. Copolymer (A) is obtained by using monomer (a) and monomer (b) in the above-mentioned specific ratio. If this ratio is outside of this range, that is, if the amount of monomer (a) is less than 98 mol% with respect to the total 100 mol% of monomer (a) and monomer (b), A decrease in slump loss prevention performance was observed. The reason for this is not clear, but
This is thought to be because the adsorption effect on the cement particles by the three-dimensionally extended polyalkylene oxide chains is not sufficient. When obtaining copolymer (A), monomer (a) and monomer
Other monomers copolymerizable with (b) can be used within a range that does not reduce the slump loss prevention performance of the resulting copolymer (A). Other monomers include
For example, esters of aliphatic alcohols having 1 to 20 carbon atoms and (meth)acrylic acid: maleic acid, fumaric acid, or these acids and aliphatic alcohols having 1 to 20 carbon atoms or esters of (meth)acrylic acid having 1 to 20 carbon atoms. Glycol or number of moles added of these glycols: 2 to
Monoesters or diesters or diesters with 100 polyalkylene glycols:
Unsaturated amides such as (meth)acrylamide and (meth)acrylalkylamide; vinyl esters such as vinyl acetate and vinyl propionate; aromatic vinyls such as styrene; vinyl sulfonic acid,
Unsaturated sulfonic acids such as allyl sulfonic acid, sulfoethyl (meth)acrylate, and styrene sulfonic acid, and their monovalent metal salts and divalent metal salts,
Examples include ammonium salts, organic amine salts, etc.
One or more of these can be used. The amount of these other monomers used is preferably as small as possible, at most 40 mol% of the total monomers.
The amount is as follows. If the amount exceeds 40 mol% of the total monomers, the resulting copolymer (A) may have insufficient slump loss prevention performance. The average molecular weight of the copolymer (A) effective as the slump loss inhibitor of the present invention is in the range of 60,000 to 500,000, more preferably 80,000 to 200,000. If the average molecular weight is less than 60,000, the amount of air entrained will increase, leading to a decrease in strength when the cement mixture is cured, or the copolymer itself will increase the fluidity of the cement mixture due to its cement dispersion ability, resulting in poor slump loss prevention performance. On the contrary, it is insufficient and undesirable. Also,
A high molecular weight exceeding 500,000 is not preferable because the slump loss prevention performance becomes insufficient. In order to produce the copolymer (A), the monomer components may be copolymerized using a polymerization initiator. Copolymerization can be carried out by methods such as bulk polymerization in a solvent. Polymerization in a solvent can be carried out either batchwise or continuously, and the solvents used in this case include water;
Lower alcohols such as methyl alcohol, ethyl alcohol, and isopropyl alcohol; benzene,
Examples include aromatic or aliphatic hydrocarbons such as toluene, xylene, cyclohexane and n-hexane; ethyl acetate; ketone compounds such as acetone and methyl ethyl ketone; In view of the solubility of the raw material monomers and the obtained copolymer (A) and the ease of use of the copolymer (A), at least one selected from the group consisting of water and lower alcohols having 1 to 4 carbon atoms should be used. It is preferable to use one type. Among the lower alcohols with 1 to 4 carbon atoms, methyl alcohol, ethyl alcohol,
Isopropyl alcohol is particularly effective. When polymerization is carried out in an aqueous medium, a water-soluble polymerization initiator such as ammonium or alkali metal persulfate or hydrogen peroxide is used as the polymerization initiator. At this time, an accelerator such as thorium hydrogen sulfite can also be used in combination. In addition, for polymerization using lower alcohols, aromatic hydrocarbons, aliphatic hydrocarbons, ethyl acetate, or ketone compounds as solvents, peroxides such as benzoyl peroxide and lauroyl peroxide; hydroperoxides such as cumene hydroperoxide; Aliphatic azo compounds such as bisisobutyronitrile are used as polymerization initiators. At this time, a promoter such as an amine compound can also be used in combination. Furthermore, when a water-lower alcohol mixed solvent is used, it can be appropriately selected from among the various polymerization initiators or combinations of polymerization initiators and accelerators mentioned above. The polymerization temperature is appropriately determined depending on the solvent and polymerization initiator used, but is usually carried out in the range of 0 to 120°C. Bulk polymerization uses peroxides such as benzoyl peroxide and lauroyl peroxide, hydroperoxides such as cumene hydroperoxide, and aliphatic azo compounds such as azobisisobutyronitrile as polymerization initiators at a temperature of 50 to 150°C. done within range. Copolymer A thus obtained can be used as it is as the main component of the slump loss inhibitor of the present invention, but if necessary, copolymer B obtained by further neutralizing with an alkaline substance may be added. It may be used as the main component of the slump loss inhibitor of the present invention.
Preferred examples of such alkaline substances include hydroxides, chlorides, and carbonates of monovalent metals and divalent metals; ammonia; and organic amines. The slump loss inhibitor of the present invention is used in combination with various known cement dispersants. Such known cement dispersants include, for example, phthalene sulfonate formalin condensates, sulfonate formalin condensates of mixtures containing naphthalene and alkyl phthalenes, melamine sulfonic acid formalin condensates, lignin sulfonic acids, and oxycarbonate. acid,
Examples include polycarboxylic acids and salts thereof. The mixing ratio of the slump loss inhibitor of the present invention and these cement dispersants is 80/20 to 20/
80 (weight ratio) is preferred. Furthermore, the slump loss inhibitor of the present invention can be used in combination with a curing retardant, curing accelerator, air entraining agent, cement wetting and dispersing agent, waterproofing agent, antifoaming agent, strength enhancer, expansive agent, and other cement admixtures. Good too. The amount of the slump loss inhibitor of the present invention to be added is based on the solid content (wt%) of the cement in the cement mixture.
0.005% to 2.5% is good. If it is less than 0.005%, sufficient slump loss prevention performance may not be obtained. Also, if the amount exceeds 2.5%,
It may be economically disadvantageous or cause problems such as delayed condensation and excessive air entrainment. The slump loss inhibitor of the present invention can be used in cement formulations using hydraulic cements such as various Portland cements, flyash cements, various mixed cements, and special cements. The slump loss inhibitor of the present invention is most preferably added to the cement mixture in the form of an aqueous solution, but it may also be in the form of a powder or granules. When used in the form of an aqueous solution, it may be added to the water for mixing the cement mixture, or it can be added after mixing the cement mixture.
Further, when used in powder or granule form, it can be premixed with cement blend components such as cement or aggregate, and then kneaded. (Effects of the Invention) The slump loss inhibitor for cement mixtures of the present invention can maintain the fluidity of cement mixtures stably over time by simply adding them to cement mixtures such as mortar and concrete. To prevent a decline in fluidity over time of a cement mixture that has been adjusted to a predetermined slump using a cement dispersant or the like. Furthermore, the slump loss inhibitor of the present invention can be used in combination with various known cement dispersants, but
without increasing or reducing the inherent cement dispersing ability of the cement dispersant, and therefore,
It is easy to arbitrarily adjust the fluidity of a cement mixture, and it meets the demands of consumers who require a cement mixture with small slump loss and whose fluidity is accurately controlled within a desired range. Next, the slump loss inhibitor of the present invention will be explained in more detail with reference to Reference Examples and Examples, but the present invention is of course not limited thereto. In addition, unless otherwise specified in the examples, % is by weight.
