Abstract

PURPOSE:To supply the hot water at a proper flow rate against the consumed volume of each hot water supply area by decreasing the flow rate of the supplied hot water in the winter season when the hot water heater capacity is insufficient and increasing the flow rate of supply in the summer season when the hot water heater capacity is sufficient respectively with the control of the flow rate performed according to the levels set by a season setter. CONSTITUTION:The temperature of the hot water mixed with cold water is controlled by according to the level set by a bathtab temperature volume 74 or a shower temperature volume 75 and also can be changed by a hot switch 65 and a lukewarm switch 66. Furthermore 1 deg.C is automatically added to a rather hot set temperature in the winter season and subtracted from a rather lukewarm set temperature in the summer season respectively. In particular, the temperature of a bathtab which is easily cooled down in the winter season can be set at +3 deg.C. The relationship is basically shown in an equation I among the hot water heater capacity, the water temperature, the supply hot water temperature and the supply hotwater flow rate. Thus it is possible to accurately set the flow rate value based on the single condition and also the season easiest to understand to the users in comparison with a case where no information is available at all.

(2) When an instantaneous water heater or a boiler with a small amount of canned water is used as a water heater, the heating capacity is limited, so if the flow rate is too high at the faucet 14, the temperature will drop below the temperature set on the setting device 12. The temperature of the hot water entering from the inlet l has dropped, and even if the hot water side is fully opened with the hot water side valve body 5 and the water side is fully closed with the water side valve body 6, the desired temperature may not be obtained.

Operation With the above configuration, the automatic water heater of the present invention controls the flow rate according to the setting of the seasonal setting device, thereby suppressing the flow rate when the hot water supply function is insufficient in winter, and increasing the flow rate when the hot water supply function is surplus in the summer. This prevents the issue of not being able to reach the desired hot water temperature by flowing a large amount of water, and the frequent starting and stopping of the water heater due to restricting the flow rate too much in the summer.

Figure 6 shows No. 16, which has a relatively small capacity (24,000Kca).
This figure shows the relationship between the temperature of water entering the water heater and the flow rate based on an instantaneous water heater (1/H). It can be seen that when the water temperature is low, it is difficult to obtain high temperatures unless the flow rate is reduced. For example, if you want to obtain a mixed water temperature of 50°C or higher in the mixing valve 26, when the water temperature is low in winter, it is 8.81! ,/llll1n
You can see that you can do the following. Further, in the middle season, the flow rate may be set to 11.41 /min or less, and in the summer season, the flow rate may be set to about 161 /min. In the above example, the temperature in winter is 817m1n, taking into consideration piping heat radiation loss, etc.

shall be defined as in. However, when supplying hot water to bathtubs that require high temperatures, the above value will be increased by 11/lll1n for hand showers 29, fixed showers 30, and washing area washrooms 31, which only supply hot water below 45°C. Another idea is to supply hot water at the same value.

If you want to increase the flow rate even if the instantaneous hot water heater 15 has insufficient capacity, or if you want to further reduce the flow rate,
The change can be made manually by pressing the high switch 68 and the low switch 69. In addition, in consideration of cases where the actual water temperature is lower than the water temperature set by the seasonal switch 76 or the flow rate is too high due to variations between products, the deviation determination section 78 compares the set water temperature with the actual water temperature detected by the thermistor 51. If the deviation in water temperature is not resolved even after a predetermined period of time, increase the flow rate by 1! /min aperture, and if the deviation is not resolved even after checking the predetermined time deviation, increase the aperture by 1 j2/min.
Continue squeezing. If the deviation is not resolved even after reaching the minimum flow rate of 6 ffi/min, it is determined that the hot water has run out and the hot water supply is stopped.

Basically, the relationship between water heater capacity, water temperature, hot water temperature, and flow rate is expressed by the following equation.

Hot water supply function = proportionality constant x flow rate x (output hot water temperature - water temperature) Therefore, in order to obtain the most accurate and appropriate flow rate value, calculations cannot be made unless the other three conditions are known, but the present invention can be calculated using only one condition. Moreover, the feature is that the user can determine the flow rate value more accurately based on the season that is easiest for the user to understand than when there is no information.

In addition to this method, - conditions can be set based on the hot water supply function or hot water outlet temperature (equal to the mixing valve outlet temperature when the hot water side is fully open), or two of the three conditions: hot water supply function, hot water outlet temperature, and water temperature. There are ways to combine them, and ways to use all three conditions. Furthermore, there are two methods for determining these conditions: a method in which these conditions are determined and set by a person, and a method in which they are actually measured using a sensor.

In particular, determining the flow rate using a seasonal switch that represents water temperature and a signal from a hot water temperature setting device that sets the temperature of the hot water mixing valve is a practical method that allows the flow rate value of the above embodiment to be determined even more accurately. be. In particular, compared to a hot water supply function switch that is provided only to set the flow rate, using the signal from the hot water temperature setting device is significant in terms of simplifying the configuration.
