Abstract

PURPOSE:To raise temperature of a content uniformly by a method wherein a protrusion is provided at the center of a vessel and a heating spot is generated with microwaves concentrated on said protrusion. CONSTITUTION:A vessel 2 is made of polypropylene for example and is of a cylindrical shape with a spherical protrusion 6 provided at the center of the bottom 4. The protrusion 6 protrudes downward from the bottom and is a spherical recess when viewed from the inside of the vessel 2. A base 8 longer than the protrusion 6 is formed on the periphery of the bottom 4. When the vessel 2 is heated in a microwave oven with soup for example contained, a heating spot is generated in the protrusion 6, and in combination with an upper heating zone formed in the periphery of the bottom 4 and on the content without the protrusion 6, the soup can be almost uniformly heated from the bottom 4. In addition, convection occurs from the heating spot of the protrusion 6 to allow more uniform heating. The shape, number and material of the vessel 2 and the protrusion 6 is not necessarily limited to those mentioned above.

However, even if the food is heated in a microwave oven for a predetermined period of time, the user may feel that the food was not heated sufficiently when eating or drinking. This occurred because heating in a microwave oven heated only the corners and surface layer of the container and did not uniformly heat the entire inside of the container. Particularly in the case of materials with low fluidity, even though the surface area is extremely warmed, the center portion is still cold, and the contents must be further stirred after heating. A detailed investigation revealed the following.

■For example, in the case of a cylindrical container with an inner diameter of approximately 60 mm, a ring-shaped heating zone is only generated along the inside of the container above and below the internal object, and depending on the model of microwave oven, a ring-shaped heating zone is generated at the center of the container. There may be heating spots at several locations on the shaft, but none near the center of the bottom.

■For round and flat containers with an inner diameter of 100 to 130 mm and a depth of 20 to 30 mm, ring-shaped heating zones occur in the upper and lower layers, as in the case of cylindrical containers, and there is a heating point near the center of the bottom. Does not occur.

In the case of a rectangular container, heating points initially occur at the four corners of the bottom, which grow upwards and along the bottom edge, while a heating zone forms along the inner surface of the container in the upper layer.

(2) In the case of a container with a corrugated bottom, a ring-shaped heating zone will be formed on the upper and lower layers.Heating spots will occur at the convex portions at both ends of the corrugation, but will not occur anywhere else.

In this way, in either case, no heating point occurs near the center of the bottom, and even when heated in a microwave oven for a long time, the upper layer of the contents and near the periphery of the bottom of the container are heated, as described above. The temperature in the central part was raised by heat conduction from these high-temperature parts, but it did not rise directly.

In order to solve the above-mentioned problems, the present invention provides a protrusion at least at the center of the bottom of the container, and by concentrating microwaves on the protrusion to generate a heating point, a ring-shaped heating point is formed at the bottom of the container. In addition to heating the contents from the entire bottom of the container, the contents were circulated within the container by causing convection to uniformly raise the temperature.

First, FIG. 1 shows a first embodiment. This container 2 is made of polypropylene and has a diameter of 60 mm (upper opening diameter 67 mm).
It has a cylindrical shape with a depth of 100 mm, and a spherical protrusion 6 with a radius of 7 mm is provided at the center of the bottom 4. The projection 6 projects downward from the bottom 4, ie, forms a spherical depression from the inside of the container 2. Further, a leg portion 8 longer than the length of the protrusion 6 is formed around the bottom portion 4.

The shape, number, material, etc. of the protrusions 6 are not limited to those described above. Furthermore, the position of the protrusion 6 does not necessarily have to be on the central axis of the container 2, but may be located at any position inside the ring-shaped heating zone as long as it is not normally subjected to sufficient heating action. According to the present invention, since the protrusion is provided at least in the center of the bottom of the container, when heated with a microwave heating device, a heating point is generated at the center of the bottom, and in addition to the heating point at the periphery of the bottom that normally occurs, the entire bottom surface is heated. can be heated. Furthermore, since convection occurs from the heating point at the center of the bottom, heat transfer becomes more active, allowing the contents to be heated quickly and reliably and uniformly.
