Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain images at plural wavelength bands by inserting plural filters having respectively different transparent characteristics between an optical system and a light receiving sensor in order to input the images at the respectively different wavelengths to a single light receiving sensor provided at the optical system for picture acquisition. CONSTITUTION:The title device consists of an optical system lens 1, a light receiving sensor, for example a CCD 6, and plural rotary filters 2 to 4 having the respectively different transparent characteristics. Light entering from the outside is first converged by the lens 1, and image-forms on the CCD 6. By inserting any one of the filter 2, 3 or 4 between the lens 1 and the CCD 6, the wavelength arriving at the CCD 6 is controlled. Further, by rotating the filters 2 to 4 having the respectively different characteristics at a constant speed by a rotation driving part 5, the filters are exchanged. Thus, the plural images at the same magnitude and at the mutually different wavelengths can be obtained in the same visual field.

Obtaining images using light in different wavelength bands is common in color televisions and the like in the case of visible light. However, the technology to obtain images using light of different wavelengths in the range of light other than visible light (infrared, ultraviolet, etc.) has not yet been established. - It is widely known that obtaining images using light in different wavelength bands even in the ultraviolet and outside regions is an extremely effective method for object identification.
