When a conventional planar heating element is incorporated into a heating device or equipment, if it is constructed from only heating wires, it does not have a temperature safety mechanism and does not meet electrical appliance standards and cannot be used. Therefore, an intermediate terminal is provided on the heating wire, and a thermostat (temperature regulator) is attached to the intermediate terminal to adjust the temperature of the planar heating element and to prevent the temperature from rising excessively.

That is, the method of the present invention is a method for manufacturing a planar heating element by forming a circuit with a heating wire provided with one or several pairs of intermediate terminals for temperature adjustment, and attaching a temperature controller between the intermediate terminals. This is characterized in that a short circuit pattern is formed between the intermediate terminals and the resistance value of the heating element is inspected, then the pattern is cut and a temperature regulator is installed between the intermediate terminals.

An embodiment of the method of the present invention will be described. Second
As shown in the figure, an intermediate terminal 2,
2' are provided to route the divided heating wires 3 and 4 made of aluminum foil, respectively, and a short circuit pattern 6 for resistance measurement is formed between the intermediate terminals 2 and 2' to clamp the heating wire 1.

As a method of wiring the heating wire 1, an aluminum foil is bonded to the surface of one of the insulating substrates 5, and the intermediate terminals 2, 2' and the short-circuit pattern 6 for resistance measurement are formed on the surface of the aluminum foil in a serpentine shape. A resist layer is formed on a predetermined circuit pattern, and this is etched to form meandering heating lines 3 and 4 having the intermediate terminals 2 and 2' and the short circuit pattern 6 on the surface of the insulating substrate 5, and then the resist layer is etched. heat ray 3,
The other insulating substrate 5 may be attached to the upper surface of the substrate 4.
