過光あるいは反射光を光電変換して所定の各色に
対応した映像信号を各々出力する撮像素子と、 上記原稿の種類に応じたコード信号を出力する
原稿判別手段と、 上記原稿の種類に応じた複数種類の階調特性変
換データ及び色補正データを記憶するメモリ手段
と、 上記本スキヤンによつて得られる各映像信号を
所定の階調特性変換データと色補正データとに基
づいて各々変換して出力する映像信号処理回路と
、 上記コード信号に応じた階調特性変換データに
基づいた階調特性変換データを上記メモリ手段か
ら抽出し上記プリスキヤンによつて得られる上記
各映像信号のレベル分布に基づいて選択された階
調特性変換データにおける使用範囲を設定して上
記映像信号処理回路における階調特性変換データ
を書き変えるとともに、上記コード信号に応じた
色補正データを上記メモリ手段から抽出して上記
映像信号処理回路における色補正データを書き変
える制御回路とを備え、 上記本スキヤンによつて得られる上記各映像信
号を上記映像信号処理回路に上記プリスキヤンに
よつて新たに書き変えられた階調特性変換データ
に基づいて変換するとともに、色補正データに基
