[Detailed Description of the Invention] The present invention relates to the structure of a heating element for a seat heater of a vehicle such as an automobile, a railway, or a ship. The heating elements used in seat heaters with built-in electric heaters are arranged in a preset pattern and sandwiched between flame-retardant cloth from the top and bottom, and used as a sheet heating element. The requirements are that it should not give the impression of a foreign body, be highly flexible, and never break under various types of pressure and bending. Conventionally, this type of heating element has used a core made of polyester fiber, on which a heating wire is spirally wound, and further insulated with a thermoplastic resin. However, in order to avoid giving the impression of a foreign body,
Although a thinner heating element was required, there were limitations such as a decrease in the tensile strength of the heating element itself. On the other hand, in order to improve the bending properties, improvements have been made by changing the heating wire from a single wire to a grouped wire and by improving the twist pitch. However, none of these materials has been available that satisfies both the bending properties and tensile strength, and improvements have been desired. The purpose of the present invention is to provide a heating element for a seat heater that eliminates the above-mentioned drawbacks, and the gist of the present invention will be explained based on the drawings. Figure 2 shows the first embodiment of the present invention, which is made of aromatic polyamide fiber (DuPont product name: Kevlar).
A 250 denier core 1 is used, and a copper-nickel alloy ribbon-shaped heating wire 2 is spirally wound around the core 1 to form a heating conductor 3. Next, four of the heating conductors are twisted together, and furthermore, ETFE resin is extruded and coated as an insulator on this twisted body. FIG. 3 shows a second embodiment of the present invention, in which four heat-generating conductors 3 are twisted together and a separator 5 made of heat-resistant fiber or resin is applied. The core used here is Nomex (DuPont product name).
Alternatively, the insulator may be one having strong mechanical strength and a smooth surface, such as vinylidene fluoride (PVF 2 ). In addition, the heating element for seat heaters according to the present invention has approximately twice the tensile strength and more than 20 times better bending properties than conventional products, and the life of the heating element itself due to pressure and bending has been improved. It is clear from the table that it extends over a wide range, and by twisting a plurality of heat-generating conductors together, the vibration flexibility characteristics have been dramatically improved. Furthermore, the material used has excellent heat resistance and is nonflammable, so even if a spark from a disconnection should ignite, it will not ignite, making it safe to use. . 【table】
