転速度から圧延速度を検出する圧延速度の検出装
置において、 前記圧延ライン中に装備され、シヤフトの周部
に加圧エアーの層を介してローターを回転自在に
嵌め合わせてなるエアーベアリング式のガイドロ
ーラと、 前記ガイドローラのローターに外周面に埋め込
まれ、そのローターには異なる材料でかつそのロ
ーターの外周面と面一となるマーカーと、 前記ガイドローラの外周面と対向する外部の定
位置に配備されて、前記マーカーを検出する近接
センサーと、 前記ガイドローラのローターの回転速度に対応
する前記近接センサーの検出タイミングから、圧
延速度を求める演算部とからなることを特徴とす
