トなどがあり、金属面材を長手方向に折り曲げて
立ち上らせねばならない箇所がある。このような
場合、両側部に立ち上り部を有する金属面材をそ
のまま長手方向に折り曲げると、側部の立ち上り
部は全体にわたり波打ち状の皺が発生し、溶接が
困難もしくは不可能となり防水の目的が達せられ
ない。そのため、従来は例えばハンドホーマー等
により、立ち上り部をそのままの状態で押圧しな
がら折り曲げ加工を行つているが、ハンドホーマ
ーは片側づつ多数のくり返し加工を行うために工
数がかかり、また、加工時、1回の加工量を適当
に細かく加えることが必要で、大きすぎると皺を
発生する等その操作に熟練を要する。また、油圧
機構を用いた折り曲げ成形装置も使われている
が、これは大型であるため主として工場で使用さ
れ、現場で簡単に使用することは困難であつた。

本発明者らは、両側部に面材の平坦部分に対し
て外側に傾斜した第1立ち上り部と該第1立ち上
り部に連続して垂直方向に延びる第2立ち上り部
とからなる立ち上り部(以下、第1立ち上り部と
第2立ち上り部を総称して立ち上り部という)を
有する金属面材の第2立ち上り部に特定の皺を設
けることによつて極めて容易に折り曲げ加工がで
き、さらに、第1立ち上り部と第2立ち上り部の
境目の皺の生じない部分をシーム溶接すると、容
易に完全な溶接が可能となることを新規に知見し
て、本発明を完成したもので、本明発の目的は従
来の物に比して極めて容易に且つ簡単に両側部に
立ち上り部を有する金属面材の折り曲げ加工方法
及び折り曲げ加工機を提供するにある。

の挿入位置を決めるガイド3と前記金属面材1の
両側部を立てたまま所定の曲率に曲げるため、第
2立ち上り部1bの上部に大きく下部に小さい皺
を形成する成形用の歯車6a(駆動歯車)6b(ア
イドラー)とを設け、また、前記ガイド3と成形
用の歯車6a,6bとを調整固定するための固定
ネジ4と、調整ノブ5とを設けてある。更に、成
形用歯車6aを駆動するための回転軸10と該回
転軸10の回転を笠歯車8,9に伝え、次に笠歯
車9により回転方向を変え歯車支持台7を介して
成形用歯車6aを駆動させ、成形用歯車6bに連
動させる機構を有している。前記構成は左右対称
であり、連動棒11によつて反対側も同様に作動
