2. Description of the Related Art As illustrated in FIG. 3, an automobile having a bushless door 1, 1a is provided with rubber weather strips 2, 2a along the door opening, as shown in FIG. weather strip 2
As shown in FIGS. 5 and 6, there is a base 4 attached to the retainer 3 of the vehicle body, a connection 5, 6 on the outside and inside of the vehicle connected to this base 4, and side walls 5, 6. It has a continuous top wall 7, which is constructed as an integral molded product, and a hollow portion 8 inside thereof is integrally provided with a central rib 9 as required.

When the door glass 10 is closed as shown in FIG.
The edge 10a of this glass 10 comes into pressure contact with the top wall part near the side wall 5 on the outside of the vehicle, and this part is elastically deformed,
A lip 11 protruding from the area between the side wall 5 and the top wall 7 on the outside of the vehicle closely contacts the door glass surface, thereby maintaining the sealing performance of the vehicle body.

In order to ensure the above-mentioned elastic deformation, the weather strip 2 is made of relatively soft rubber, such as soft sponge rubber. However, when high water pressure is applied to the car body, such as when washing a car, water pressure components acting on the lip 11 of the weather strip 2, as shown by arrow P in FIG.
The lip 11 is turned upward, and the weather strip 2 is deformed as shown by the chain line. For this reason glass 1
The contact force between the weather strip 2 and the weather strip 2, that is, the sealing pressure, decreases, and there is a risk that water may enter the vehicle body through the gap between them.

In order to eliminate the above drawbacks, weather strip 2
It is also conceivable to shift the position of the door glass 10 toward the inside of the vehicle as shown by the chain line in FIG. 6 to increase the amount of penetration into the weather strip 2. However, in this case, the lip 11 cannot be brought into close contact with the door glass surface, and the effect of improving the sealing performance of the lip 11 cannot be expected. In addition, the top wall portion on the outside of the vehicle protrudes to a greater extent than the top wall portion 7 that the edge 10a of the door glass 10 contacts, so that this portion is indicated by the arrow P in FIG. There is a risk that the water pressure will cause the seal to curl up and deteriorate the sealing performance of the car body.

Configuration: In order to achieve the above object, the present invention has a base that is attached to the vehicle body, side walls on the outside and inside of the vehicle that are connected to the base, and a top wall that is connected to these side walls. It has a hollow part, and the edge of the door glass of the door is pressed against the outer surface of the top wall near the outside side wall of the vehicle, and the lip that protrudes from the area between the outside side wall and the top wall is in close contact with the door glass surface. The present invention proposes a weather strip made of rubber that maintains sealing performance inside a vehicle, characterized in that the side wall on the outside of the vehicle is made of rubber that is harder than other parts.

1 and 2 are sectional views similar to FIGS. 5 and 6, showing an embodiment of the present invention.
The weather strip 2 shown here also has a base 4 that is attached to the retainer 3 of the vehicle body, connections 5 and 6 on the outside and inside of the vehicle that are connected to the base 4, and tops that are connected to these side walls 5 and 6. A hollow part 8 is defined inside these walls 7, and a middle rib 9 is defined in the hollow part.
is provided, and when the door glass 10 is closed, the edge 10a of the glass 10 touches the side wall 5 on the outside of the vehicle.
It is different from the conventional method that the lip 11, which is in pressure contact with the adjacent top wall 7 portion and protrudes from the region between the side wall 5 and the top wall 7 on the outside of the vehicle, is in close contact with the door glass surface and maintains the sealing performance of the vehicle body. It's no different from weather stripping.

The difference is that the side wall 5 of the weather strip 2 on the outside of the vehicle is made of rubber (solid rubber) that is harder than the other parts, and the other parts are made of, for example, soft sponge rubber as before.

With the above configuration, when the door glass 10 is closed as shown in FIG. 2, the weather strip 2 comes into close contact with the edge 10a of the door glass 10, and the lip 11 comes into close contact with the surface of the glass 10 to maintain sealing performance. Since the side wall 5 on the outside of the vehicle is made of hard rubber, its rigidity is increased, and even if a high water pressure P acts on the lip 11, the lip 11 does not turn over like in the conventional case. In this way, deformation of the weather strip itself is suppressed, a reduction in the sealing pressure between the door glass 10 and the weather strip 2 is suppressed, and the drawback of water intrusion into the vehicle interior can be eliminated. Since the parts other than the side wall 5 are made of soft rubber, the weather strip 2 can be elastically deformed to a state necessary to maintain sealing performance, and high sealing performance is maintained.

Effects According to the present invention, even if high water pressure is applied to the lip protruding between the outer side wall of the vehicle and the top wall, the lip can be prevented from curling up due to its simple configuration.
Prevents water from leaking into the car.
