Abstract

PURPOSE:To shorten an intake air introducing duct so as to improve intake efficiency by arranging an intake box behind a head pipe while connecting the intake air introducing duct, having an air intake port under the head pipe and passing through its behind, to the intake box. CONSTITUTION:In a motorcycle 1, an intake box 9 and a carburetor 10, constituting an intake system of an internal combustion engine 8, are set up under a fuel tank 7. Here the intake box 9 is arranged in the rear of a head pipe 3 and between right and left main frames 6 extended rearward from this head pipe 3. An intake air introducing duct 18, having an air intake port 18a under the head pipe 3 and passing through its behind, is connected to the intake box 9. In this way, the intake air introducing duct 18 is shortened, thus intake air resistance is reduced improving intake air introducing efficiency, while the improvement of appearance of the intake air introducing duct 18 and the simplification or the like of total unit structure are attained.
