従来の技術とその問題点 自吸式曝気装置として特公昭58−2094号公報に
開示されたものがある。これは液面上に設置した

スクリユー先端部分の液中に負圧が発生する。こ
の負圧を利用して中空軸内を流下せしめる気体を
液中に開口した中空軸下端面より液中に放出さ
せ、液体と気体とを混合させる所謂他の気体押し
込み手段を有せずして自吸させるものである。こ
の自吸式曝気装置に於ては液の撹拌時、渦流が発
生し、この渦流が水面上に達すると、この液面よ
り液中に吸気され、中空軸内を通しての吸気量が
減少する。液面よりの吸気はさらに渦流を増大
し、撹拌抵抗を増すと共に液面附近のみの吸気と
なり槽又は池底部への吸気は行われない。これを
防ぐため中空軸下端の上部に円弧形の渦流防止板
を設けている。しかしこの方法では単に渦流を防
止するだけで、スクリユーの保護を行えず、また
撹拌流を池又は槽底まで導びくようにドラフトチ
ユーブを要するものとなる。

軸で、この軸2は中空軸1の下端より少し突出さ
せ、この下端にスクリユー4を固定する。この軸
2の長手方向の対向する側面例えば中空軸2の頂
面と下面にそつてフランジ部3,3が形成されて
いる。これは中空軸を形成するときのもので、こ
のフランジ部3を用いて渦流防止筒5を設ける。
この渦流防止筒は液中のスカムその他の不純物や
微生物の付着などによつてもあまり目詰りが生じ
ない程度で、しかも大きなごみ例えば空ビン.空
罐.木片などよりスクリユーを保護できる穿孔し
た材質例えばエキスパンドメタルを用いて筒形に
形成する。この筒の大きさは中空軸下端とスクリ
ユーとを完全に覆うい、かつこの筒内でスクリユ
ーが円滑に回動して液体の撹拌や充分に行なえよ
うにしてその内径、長さが定められる。またこの
筒形の渦流防止筒5はドラフトチユーブの役目を
も兼ねるため、スクリユーにて発生した渦流が所
要深度の液中もしくは底部にまで導びかれるのに
必要な長さ、形状を有するものとすると共にまた
必要に応じてこの筒形の両端縁の補強を行うた
め、図示の如く補強リング6,6を一体に設ける
こともある。

点を有する。
