Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent a rubber cap from dropping by covering the outer surroundings of a connecting part of a conductor wire and a connection terminal with either one of both ends of a rubber sleeve airtightly. CONSTITUTION:Both ends of a conductor wire 11 of a lead wire 1 which connects a starter motor 2 and a magnetic switch 3 to supply electric power to the motor 2 are connected by welding to the starter motor 2 and a connecting terminal 31 of the magnetic switch 3. Either one of both ends of a rubber sleeve 12 which is to cover the conductor wire 11 is integrally molded with a lead wire 11 and the outer surroundings of the connection part is covered airtightly. By this structure, pressure increase in the starter motor 2 is not transmitted to the rubber sleeve 12. As a result, a rubber cap is prevented from dropping.

[Prior Art] Conventionally, the structure of a lead wire connecting a starter motor and a magnetic switch that supplies power to the starter motor is such that both ends of the copper stranded wire are welded to connection terminals provided on both sides, and one end of the lead wire is connected to the motor housing. It was covered with a liquid-tightly connected rubber sleeve to provide insulation and waterproofing, and the connecting portion on the magnetic switch side was covered with a detachable rubber cap, which was connected to the other end of the rubber sleeve.

[Problems to be Solved by the Invention] However, when the above structure is used in a completely waterproof sealed starter motor, internal pressure increases due to heat generation, and this is transmitted to the rubber sleeve, causing pressure to increase in this area as well. The rubber cap may come off at the connecting portion, causing water to enter due to negative pressure generated as the motor cools.

Therefore, a structure has been proposed in which the rubber sleeve and the rubber cap are integrated to eliminate these connections (Nippon Denso Technical Report 52-274), but in this case as well, the increase in pressure inside the rubber sleeve causes attachment and detachment. The rubber cap itself may fall off and cause a similar situation.

[First Embodiment 1] In FIG. 2, a waterproof sealed starter motor 2 is provided with a magnetic switch 3 close to the bottom thereof, and these are connected by a lead wire for power supply. This lead wire 1 is a rubber sleeve 1 into which the conductor is inserted.
2, and its motor side end is hermetically fixed to the motor frame by a known structure.

A rubber cap 13 covers the end of the rubber sleeve 12 on the side of the magnet switch 3, and the detailed internal structure thereof is shown in FIG. The conducting wire 11 inserted into the rubber sleeve 12 is a copper stranded wire, and its both ends (only the end on the magnet switch 3 side is shown) are welded to a plate-shaped connecting terminal 31. Then, the rubber sleeve 12 is airtightly attached to the magnetic switch side end 121 so as to cover the outer periphery of the conductor connection part, and this attachment is performed by applying the rubber material of the rubber sleeve 12 to the outer periphery of the connection part in a mold. This is done by integral vulcanization molding.

Then, the connecting terminal 31 that protrudes airtightly from the attached end portion 121 of the rubber sleeve is screwed and fixed to the bolt terminal 32 provided upright on the magnetic switch 3, and this fixed portion and the end of the rubber sleeve 12 are fixed. The outer periphery of the part is covered with a rubber cap 13.

In the above-mentioned waterproof structure, when the pressure inside the starter motor increases due to heat generated during operation, this pressure propagates into the rubber sleeve, but because the end of the rubber sleeve is covered airtight, the pressure propagation is prevented. It stops here and does not reach the rubber cap. Therefore, the rubber cap is effectively prevented from falling off.

[Second Embodiment] FIG. 3 shows a second embodiment of the present invention, in which a rubber sleeve 1
One end of the conducting wire 11 inserted through the magnet switch 2 is welded to a connecting terminal 31 on the magnetic switch side, and the other end is welded to a connecting terminal 21 that is electrically connected to an unillustrated field coil of the starter motor 2. The motor-side end 122 of the rubber sleeve 12 is integrally molded to cover the outer periphery of the conductor connection part in an airtight manner, and the rubber sleeve end 122 is airtightly fixed to the motor frame 22. It is.

According to this structure, the pressure increase inside the starter motor due to heat generation does not propagate into the rubber sleeve 1-2.
Therefore, the rubber cap connected thereto will not fall off. Further, even if the rubber cap falls off due to vibration or the like, water will not enter the motor 2 through the rubber sleeve 12.

[Effects of the Invention] As described above, according to the waterproof structure of the present invention, it is possible to effectively prevent the rubber cap from falling off due to an increase in motor internal pressure when the star motor rotates internally, and to prevent the rubber cap from falling off due to vibration etc. However, water will not enter the inside of the mota.
