Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain less puckered seams by providing a thread guide having a pair of eyes and mounted on the arm of a sewing machine between a needle thread passage and a thread adjuster in such a manner as to be capable of position adjustment, and a thread winding cam vertically reciprocating between the eyes mounted on an upper female lever. CONSTITUTION:A single acting on a needle thread 21 for hemstitch and a single acting on a needle thread 22 for double ring stitch are disposed between a thread adjuster 19 and sewing needles 13, 14. 量を増加させて糸弛みを吸収していたが、このような方
法では、早抜けを防止することができても針が三角形の
中に降下して針糸に弛みが必要になったときにも針糸に
不要なテンションがか−るため糸切れが起り易く、また
このとき糸調子器から針糸が引出されるので、針糸綿り
が悪くなる。その結果、針糸綿りに伴って生ずるルーパ
糸のルーパからの引出しも少なくなり、風合いの悪い縫
い目が形成されるようになる。

繰込んで弛みを吸収し、糸調子器を通して針糸が引き出
されない程度の適度なテンションをかける。針が三角形
の中に降下した直後b′、糸繰りカムが針糸との係合を
解除し、繰込んだ針糸を開放する。これにより針糸が急
激に弛められる。なお図示する例においては、針が下死
点Cに達して上昇し、上死点に達する途上dでも余計に
糸を繰込むようになっており、これによって縫い目形成
に特に悪影響を与えることはないが、カムの形状や駆動
方法の工夫により、繰込み量をより小さくまたはなくす
方が望ましい。
