Abstract

PURPOSE:To miniaturize the title printer by fixing a flexible printed circuit board to the upper end part of the side surface of a carriage so that the end of said circuit board is turned in a horizontal direction. CONSTITUTION:The FPC 11 fixed to the center of the bottom surface of a chasis 7 at the terminal thereof is fixed to the left side surface of a carriage 3 by a clamp roll 12 and goes along the under surface of the carriage 3 to issue to the upper surface of said carriage 3 from the central part thereof to be connected to a printing head 1. The printing head 1 having the FPC 11 connected thereto is fixed to the leading end of a head arm 13, which is also used as a heating plate, pivotally supported in a freely revolvable manner by the carriage 3. The pinion 14 meshed with the rack fixed to the chasis 7 and the gear train transmitting the rotation thereof to a reel stand 15 are received in the carriage 3.
