Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent unnecessary oscillation from being generated by providing a means which applies current pulses as an alarm signal between a cathode and an anode provided on the reverse surface of the watch to cause oscillation, a means which oscillates a buzzer, and an automatic mounting/nonmounting oscillation switching means. CONSTITUTION:An alarm signal switching circuit 11 couples a current circuit for the alarm signal with a buzzer oscillator 15 or pulse generating circuit 12 automatically according to the signal from a human body detecting means 14 and consists of an analog switch, FET switch, etc. This circuit 12 is triggered with the alarm signal to generate a pulse signal by a multivibrator, etc. Pulses generated by the circuit 12 are amplified by a pulse driving circuit 13 into pulses that a human body senses. A current which flows through the circuit 13 is different when the watch is put on an arm and the electrodes are brought in contact with the skin and when the electrodes are not brought into contact with the skin, so the circuit 14 detects the human body from the current and sends a signal to the circuit 11. Consequently, when the watch is put on, the alarm signal can securely be transmitted as pulses without any sound and when not, the transmission is possible to eliminate the possibility of misoperation.

This watch can wake you up even if you're deep asleep, and doesn't emit a high-pitched signal that might disturb people around you. However, unless this watch is worn on the wrist,
Even if the alarm mechanism is activated, a signal cannot be transmitted. Another disadvantage is that signals cannot be transmitted even when the electrodes are worn loosely and the electrodes are not in contact with the skin. To compensate for this drawback, the alarm signal can be oscillated with a current pulse and a buzzer.
A switchable type may be considered, but in this case, the operation would be complicated and erroneous operation or forgetting to set the setting would easily occur. Also,
Activating both the current pulse and the buzzer simultaneously eliminates the advantage of the current pulse signal, which can directly transmit an alarm signal to the arm without making a sound, and also consumes a large amount of current.

This invention aims to solve the above problems. Its purpose is to emit a current pulse alarm signal when worn on the arm, and to emit a buzzer when not worn, allowing the alarm signal to be transmitted reliably, and without the risk of causing unnecessary buzzer oscillation and inconvenience to those around the person. It's here to suggest watches.

Generally, current pulses are generated by applying voltage intermittently to a coil capacitor circuit and utilizing its discharge characteristics. Therefore, the capacitor voltage during discharge changes greatly depending on whether the human body is connected to the negative and positive electrodes as the load on the discharge circuit, as in this watch, or not.
