搬送手段を像形成体の上側に設けることが容易にできる
と言う効果が得られる。なお、本発明は、カラー画像形
成装置に限らず、単色画像゛形成装置にも適用できる。

【特許請求の範囲】[Claims] (1)回転する像形成体の周囲にクリーニング装置、帯
電器、像露光装置、現像装置、転写手段を含む転写紙搬
送手段を配設して、像形成体面に形成したトナー像を転
写紙に転写する画像形成装置において、帯電器が放電ワ
イヤに付着したトナーを脱落させるワイヤ清掃手段を備
えて、像形成体の横向き乃至は下向き面と対向して配設
され、ケーシングの放電ワイヤから鉛直下方に当たる部
分を放電ワイヤからの脱落トナーが帯電器外に落下し得
るように切り欠かれていることを特徴とする画像形成装
置。
