The liquid stability means that when recording with ink, no foreign matter is deposited on the surface of the heat generating head due to temperature changes. However, in the case of conventional ink, there is a problem in that when ejecting for a long time, foreign matter is deposited on the surface of the heat generating head, causing ink ejection to stop. A possible cause of foreign matter deposition is the presence of various inorganic impurities contained in the ink, but it is difficult to completely suppress the deposition of foreign matter even if various purification methods are applied. (Function) According to the inventor's detailed research, the maximum amount of foreign matter deposited on the surface of the heat generating head during inkjet recording is It was recognized that the cause was the presence of divalent or higher-valent metal ions contained in the ink, and the ink reacted with these metal ions to improve dissolution stability and further improve thermal stability on the heating heater. It has been found that by incorporating a small amount of polyphosphonic acid or its salt into the ink as an additive to increase the amount of water, long-term inkjet recording becomes possible.
