本発明は、イメージセンサに関し、更に詳しくは、小形

複写機やファクシミリ等に使用するための小形なイメー
ジセンサとしては、完全密着型のイメージセンサが開発
されている。この密着型のイメージセンサは、原稿幅と
同一の長さでかつ読取り解像度と同一密度のセンサアレ
イを原稿と対峙させている。この様な1次元のイメージ
センサを用い、原稿(もしくはイメージセンサ)をスキ

ための画素選択配線手段とを有し、前記画素選択配線手
段は、同一平面内の配線パターンとワイヤボンディング

らの光電変換出力を取り出すための引出電極、5は引出
電極4とICの電極部とを接続するボンディングワイヤ
、6は複数の受光素子を選択するための選択回路を構成
するIC,7a〜7hはIC6の他端の電極部と駆動用
配線とを接続するボンディングワイヤ、8a〜8hはI
C6に画素選択のためのデータを供給する駆動用配線で
ある。この図に示した例では、16個の受光素子ごとに
ICに接続され、それぞれの【Cには8本の駆動用配線
が接続されている。尚、この図では省略しであるが、ワ
イヤボンディングされている箇所には保護用の樹脂が塗

する基板の駆動用の配線を、多層配線を用いることなく
、基板上の電極パターンとワイヤボンディングで構成し
た。これにより、少ない工数で、歩留まり、信頼性の高
