Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the fading and discoloring of a recorded image by a method wherein a first adhesive layer made of a curable resin as an image receiving layer is formed on a sheet, a thermal recording is applied on the image receiving layer, a second adhesive layer made of a curing agent is formed on an overlay, and the first and second adhesive layers are mixed and cured. CONSTITUTION:A curable resin (or a curing agent) is applied on a sheet 7 and dried to form a first adhesive layer 11 as an image receiving layer. A dye is transfer-recorded on the image receiving layer 11 by a thermal head. On the other hand, a curing agent (or a curable resin) is applied on an overlay 4 to form a second adhesive layer 12. The first adhesive layer 11 and the second adhesive layer 12 are bonded with each other to be mixed and cured. In this case, the loading of the curable resin in the image receiving layer 11 prevents the diffusion of the dye and the fading, and the adhesion of the overlay 4 to the sheet 7 by curing prevents the peeling of the overlay 4.

[Problems to be Solved by the Invention] Conventional cards have an overlay bonded to a base using thermal melting of resin, and in particular, during transfer recording, a release agent is provided on the surface of the image-receiving layer. When used, there were problems in that it was easy to peel off with only thermocompression bonding, and since a thermoplastic resin was used for the printing layer, the dye recorded in the thermoplastic resin was likely to diffuse due to heat, causing color fading.

Next, a hardening agent (trade name: Epicure manufactured by Yuka Shell) was applied to the transparent vinyl chloride sheet as an overlay.
An adhesive layer is provided, a core sheet of a white vinyl chloride sheet is laminated on the opposite side of the image-receiving layer of the sheet, the first and second adhesive layers are bonded, and both layers are mixed and cured. A card according to one embodiment is obtained. When the card obtained as above was left at 60.80℃ for one week, the color fading was 80% higher than that of conventional cards.
The adhesive strength of the adhesive between the sheet and the overlay was 25 Kgf/25 mm or more, which is a level that poses no problem in practical use.
