Abstract

PURPOSE:To produce the wooden material suitable to constructional material, while the effect on weathering resistance is removed even if partial defect, etc., is present on a continuous film by providing a continuous weathering resistant film on the surface of the wooden material with low moisture-absorbing ratio, especially with the moisture-absorbing ratio of 30% or less. CONSTITUTION:An objective material is the wooden material excellent in light resistance and made by providing a continuous weathering resistant film on the surface of the wooden material with low moisture-absorbing ratio, i.e., with the moisture-absorbing ratio of 30% or less such as cork, paulownia or balsa. As the continuous weathering resistant film, the material having the hardness equal to or softer than the hardness 2B of a pencil, is preferably used. As said film, the film formed by coating the wooden material with a ultravioletray setting acryl urethane coating, or the film formed by sticking the weathering resistant film, etc., of acryl group or acryl urethane group to the wooden material, etc., is used. In this wooden material, the sealed condition on the surface is not deteriorated even by the permeation of moisture, and the wooden material may keep excellent weathering resistance for long time and has excellent practical properties.

Conventionally, a common technique for increasing the weather resistance of wood materials has been to apply a thick layer of paint, such as enamel paint, to the surface of the wood material to block ultraviolet rays. In addition, if you wanted to keep the wood design intact, there were no known techniques other than coating the surface with clear paint or laminating a transparent or translucent film.

However, in the case of these conventional weather-resistant wood materials, if the surface coating layer is scratched and moisture penetrates from the scratched part or from the unsealed part, the wood inside absorbs water, causing the wood to deteriorate. There was a problem in that sufficient practicality could not be obtained because the material deteriorated significantly and weather resistance was impaired.

The purpose of the present invention is to solve the above-mentioned problems with the conventional weather-resistant wood materials, and to provide a highly practical weather-resistant material that can maintain excellent weather resistance over a long period of time without deteriorating the surface sealing condition even when moisture penetrates. The objective is to provide a flexible wood material.

Wood materials have considerable durability against either ultraviolet rays or moisture, but repeated exposure to both causes rapid deterioration. When it comes to wood, a small amount of water absorption quickly spreads over the entire surface, accelerating the deterioration of both the wood and the coating, making it impossible to achieve weather resistance. The inventors found that when a weather-resistant continuous film is provided on the surface of a material with a diameter of less than 10%, even if there are partial scratches on the continuous film, the weather-resistant performance will not be significantly affected. As a result of research, I found out.

When the weather resistance of Sample A was compared with a weather resistant wood material which will be described in detail later as Example 1 of the present invention, the following results were obtained. Sample A is a Japanese pine board (
(Water absorption rate: 100% or more) This is a wood material whose surface is coated in the same manner as in Example 1 below to form a continuous coating. After testing both the wood material of Example 1 and Sample A using a sunshine weather meter for 2000 hours, the surface of the coated board was observed. As a result, no abnormalities were observed in Example 1 other than a slight discoloration of the cork and a slight change in the gloss of the surface paint, but in Sample A, there was no surface paint layer at all. , Moreover, the surface is in a tattered state due to white wood deterioration components,
It was not in a state where it could be put to practical use.

Similarly, when the weather resistance of the weather resistant wood material of Example 2 and Sample B was compared, the following results were obtained. Sample B is a 10mm thick Japanese pine board (water absorption rate 89
%) A wood material with a continuous coating formed on its surface using the same film and adhesive as in Example 2. After testing both the wood material of Example 2 and Sample B using a sunshine weather meter for 1000 hrs, the surface of the wood material was observed. As a result, the sample in Example 2 had only whitening inside about 1 mm from the edge, but in sample B, although there was no abnormality in the film on the surface, the rice tomato under the film had deteriorated and became white. It had a mottled pattern, lacked design quality, and was not in a state where it could be put to practical use.

As mentioned above, if a weather-resistant continuous coating is provided on the surface of a low-water-absorbing wooden material with a water absorption rate of 30% or less, as in the wooden material of the present invention, even if the surface coating is scratched, the wooden material will remain intact. does not absorb large amounts of water, and therefore there is no risk of deformation of the wood material due to water absorption.

In addition, by providing a weather-resistant continuous coating with a pencil hardness of 2B or less on the surface of a low-water-absorbing wooden material like the wooden material of the present invention, there is a risk that the coating will crack if an impact is applied from outside the wooden material. Moreover, even when a soft wood material is used as the low water absorption wood material, the coating will not come loose even if the wood material is slightly dented or deformed, as it adapts well to the softness of the wood material.

As mentioned above, the wooden material of the present invention is made of a low-water-absorbing wooden material with a water absorption rate of 30% or less, and a weather-resistant continuous coating is provided on the surface of the wooden material, so even if water and ultraviolet rays repeatedly act on it, It is a weather-resistant wood material that can maintain excellent weather resistance over a long period of time without deteriorating its weather resistance.

In addition, since the wood material of the present invention has a continuous weather-resistant coating with a pencil hardness of 2B or less on the surface of the low-water-absorbing wood material, there is no fear that the coating will crack even if an impact is applied from outside the wood material. Furthermore, even when cork is used as a low water absorbency wood material as described in the embodiments of the present invention, the coating is not released due to the softness of the cork, even if the cork is slightly dented or deformed. Therefore, it is possible to prevent moisture penetration due to poor sealing and further improve weather resistance.

As described above, the wood material with excellent weather resistance of the present invention can maintain excellent weather resistance for a long period of time compared to conventional materials, so it can be used not only as a building material for interior purposes but also as a water-resistant material.
It can be fully put to practical use as an exterior material that is subject to the harsh action of ultraviolet rays.
