Abstract

PURPOSE:To make a printing paper cueing amount invariably adjustable to a predetermined amount even with a change in the environmental temp. by a method wherein an environmental temp. of a printer is detected by a temperature sensor, a printing paper cueing amount corresponding to the temperature is found from a cueing amount memory part prestoring cueing amounts therein, and a line feed action amount is determined corresponding to the cueing amount. CONSTITUTION:A rear feed roller 8, a platen 7, and a front feed roller 9, which are parts of a printing mechanism part 4, are rotated (in a direction of an arrow B) by driving a line feed motor 3, whereby printing paper is sucked (in a direction of an arrow A). When an upper end of the printing paper passes through a paper sensor 2, an environmental temperature of a printer is detected by a temperature sensor 6. A cueing amount corresponding to the temperature is found from a cueing amount memory part 5.
