Abstract

PURPOSE:To maintain a paper ejection route securely and thereby prevent a paper jam after printing by providing a hook-like lever which connects with a paper guide for a cut sheet feeder (CSF) and comes in contact with a paper end guide located on the paper stage of a printing device after activation of the lever. CONSTITUTION:Paper 30 from CSF 10 runs over a separator claw 2 and is fed to a printing device after passing over a paper stage 22 due to the rotation of a pickup roller 4 for a guide shaft 5. A hook 1 is installed, in a movable state, on the separator claw 2 attached to a paper guide 3. A groove is provided which is engaged with a guide shaft 5 for fixing the paper guide 3 by causing a hook 1 to fall down. The tip of the hook 1 comes in contact with the side of a paper end guide 21 located on the paper stage 22. If the paper guide 3 of the CSF 10 is moved, the paper end guide 21 on the paper stage 22, moves together with the hook 1 which pushes the guide 21. In addition, the hook 1 is attached to the external side of the paper guide 3 of the CSF 10 and pushes forward the internal side of the paper end guide 21. Consequently, the space created by the movement of the paper end guide 21 is wider than the run width of the paper 30 from the CSF 10. Thus the paper after printing is smoothly ejected.

The majority of output devices for personal computers and word processors are wire dot printers using a serial printing method. Among these, the horizontal inserter printer "Micro-Ly', i5320S" proposed by Oki Electric Industry Co., Ltd.
1986.10 (Oki Bi) 2" is a device suitable for cut paper because it has a planar paper running structure, can print on a variety of paper, and discharges the paper in the paper suction direction. It is. When the C8F is installed in this device, there is no consideration that the paper edge guides that guide the left and right edges of the paper in parallel in the printing device move in conjunction with the C8F, so the ejection of the paper after printing is controlled by the paper feed. If it is placed on the paper side, problems such as paper jam may occur due to the paper hitting the paper edge guide. As a way to prevent this, CSF
When installing a CSF, it is necessary for the operator to move the paper edge guide to the left and right edges, or when the CSF is installed, the host device must send an instruction to the printer to direct the paper ejection direction backwards. There was a lack of sexiness.
